These are getting replaced? Its configuration puts it at a disadvantage against freighters, but give it new engines and it'll easily outperform designs like the Dash-8, especially for rural operations.
@AirlineAviation Are you just trying to make an argument about whats beter or not? I dont.... but i think everyone knows that the Boeing has allways been the most popular, safest and cheapest. See this - w w w.travelvivi. c o m/the-safest-aircrafts-in-the-world/
@Dmetrey437 uhm, you should look to the sellnotes of Airbus and Boeing, Airbus has more contracts nowadays to build aircrafts. Maybe boeing have some more airplanes in the sky, but that is because they build aircrafts long before Airbus started. Cheapest isn't true, because the airplanes nowadays are cheaper from airbus then Boeing, the A350 what will be released in 2012 is cheaper then the B787 and more.
@Dmetrey437 I didn't say the one is better, but I wonder why so many airlines will buy airbus aircrafts in place of Boeing. Boeing is still alive because of the American Market.
@AirlineAviation I'm an aircraft mechanic and I've worked on Boeings and Airbuses, From what I've seen, I'm with Dmetry437. If it's not Boeing, I'm not going. I've never seen anything corrode like the metal parts of an Airbus. No wonder their so cheap.
Sub woofers are highly recommended for this video!

@Dmetrey437 lol, so what about Airbus, De havilland, Embrear? all good aircrafts.

@AirlineAviation Not saying their bad, but they all came after boeing, and boeing has had a good safety record.

@Dmetrey437 well u should look to how many crashes their are with a boeing 737 and some 747's, anyway I think Airbus is better already,
