  • LOL...did that guy say Jesus Christ with half naked chicks in his video?

  • this holy hip hop stuff makes me want to throw up!

  • So answer me this. What would be "moral music". What "music" or I guess "sound" is moral and Godly?

  • Spirit of dumb i see your point and agree to a point but I agree with Warners0 the bigger issue is heretical doctrine being pushed from the pulpit itself, and the lack of sound doctrine among church folks, if the adults are dumb what do you expect from the kids?

  • So Do you think it is sinful to rhyme with no beat?

  • SpiritofDumb (like the name by the way LOL)...I could not agree w/u even the more this is a MESS & crying shame...BUT when u r not being taught the word of YAH anything will go...SMH...good vid

  • .............. what happened to fire with fire? you wanna go against lil wayne or jay z with some old baptist hymnals? you'll be lucky at best to reach someone around my way with even christian rap... and they'll listen to that before they listen to anything else..

  • 3:55... ummm... what's CRUNK YOU supposed to mean? Is it not in a persons mind that that could mean SOMETHING ELSE???? to whoever that woman group was...come on people. you can't be serious.

  • These people are going straight to hell, I never really could get into this kind of music and there nothing wrong with OLD GOSPEL music. I think people are cross over because HIP HOP kinda added gospel into their music so GOSPEL thought they could do it too but there's one catch you are sending more people that were going to heaven to HELL with the new music. YAH is not feeling this new GOSPEL music, he like it OLD SCHOOL and that way you know you are feeling his spirit and not the sinful one

  • If your gonna rap about jesus is great! But please be original! Dont take main industry songs and just change the words on them! come on!

  • First of all we are saved by grace not by works Esphesians 2:8,9 you can not lose your salvation because you listen to a certain type of music. Grace is a free gift we did nothing to gain it, we can do nothing to lose it. The holy spirit will obviously convict a person about hip-hop like he did with me.

  • Why do ppl even need religion

  • It's amazing to me how grieved I was even listening to excerpts from this "so-called christian rap". If u get out of your head and pay attention to that inward witness, you would know that He is grieved by this type of music not to mention the back-up of the scriptures. Anybody that has truly been delivered doesn't want anything from the world. Been there, done that. I want Jesus. 11 As a dog returns to its vomit,so a fool repeats his foolishness.~Prov. 26:11

  • @Stepphie84 sorry but if ur praisin his name its ok as long as its not bad u can do it

  • its not of god... you are bringing the world into gospel music... lord say seek my face.... they are taking the image f a rapper which is from the world and putting it in gospel sorry but its not right... either holiness or hell... aint no rapping in heaven

  • Why can't christians be original!? 99% of christian rappers just play off the coat tails of famous people. Are they that UNtalented that they can't come up with something original? Now don't get offended because i AM a christian but music is for God's glory so why not put a little effort into it???

  • I agree!!!

  • Can't take it! It's awful both versions. Who wants to hear guys yelling as if they're always pissed off? Whether for God or the Devil. Both are annoying as Hell.

Come on people, we can do better than this! Don't let the white/Jewish Music Industry Execs. buy your souls. Say no to their subjugation. Say yes to dignity, pride, and peace. Our children are watching us for 'crying out loud'. Why make their future worst by showing them bad examples of us? Leave that for whitey.

  • There is a major difference between to "Christian Rap" and "Holy Hip Hop"

Being able to Rap is a Gift of communication that has been used for the kingdom since the late 1800's (Look up "The Golden Gate Quartet")... But Holy Hip Hop is just a church adaptation of a Secular Sub-Culture.

There is nothing wrong w/ Rapping for God. It's just the church don't need the put Hip Hop in the mix... Christianity is a lifestyle. We have our own culture "Christ Culture".

  • YESSSSS!!! AMEN!!!!!

  • @TheLarryWilson I totally agree. I have a problem when music from the world is used under a Christian Hip Hop artists lyrics. The first thing you identify the background beat with is the actual song that it was originally intended for. I enjoy Christian Rap. As long as the beat is original and the lyrics are telling a story of redemption and praising Christ.

  • I mean really, as a christian, you should you know if it ain't got nothing to do with god and god's law you should not listen or watch it. The devil makes excuses. Jesus is the truth.

Make a choice the bible is about making choices. So choose god or your music. Because it ain''t coming with you to heaven. so hope you choose god.

  • this is horrible

  • Hip-Hope is on the move!!! I agree, Hip-Hop is the promotion of Players, Pimps and Gangsters!!!

  • Jesus and the twelve never used music to evangelize.

  • can any1 answer me plz...im tryna understand better... so duz this then include all other types of 'gospel' music with styles rooted in other tgenres eg. rock, jazz, reggae... n if so which music is ok 2 listen 2 cuz all music now carries its roots 4rm these original major genres as all music is related...

  • my friend, I would just watch for the beats. Are they sensual? Are they worldly? Gospel and contemporary Christian music is not bad, except the gospel music that mirrors r&b and the contemporary Christian that mirrors rock.

Fred Hammond, Cece Winans, Chris Tomlin are some of my favorites.

  • If followed logically, yes.

  • Very good point.

  • watch a uploaded video on john todd on my page, it explains this y its wrong

  • Yea but Christian HipHop sucks for the most part. They're trying to use a popular tool to spread the gospel. The problem is, IT'S NOT WORKING. Yea, you have a few fans of Christian Rap, but most of them still listen to secular rap on the side. I've heard a couple good songs, but most of it is wack. Maybe they should stop immitating the world and just come up with there own style. In Hip-Hop, when you copy someone else, you lose respect. Same goes for Holy Hip-Hop

  • I listen to Christian hip hop[ and i don't listen to secular hip hop behind closed doors. People who listen to secular music on the regular obviously have not been resurrected by the spirit of God. True is Jay-Z is wack, gezzy is wack, T.I. is wack, Nas is wack etc. There message is the message of satan. And if you listen too it you are of satan. Read the bible dude. Stop posting these WACK COMMENTS.

  • You say you only listen to christian rap. But, how can you say that people who listen to secular rap music are not of God. Christian rap is just as false and ridiculous as mainstream rap. So, that must make you just as lost as the rest of the world.

  • The problem with Holy Hip Hop is that the foundation of it is from HIP HOP itself. Holy Hip Hoppers don't have a real foundation. They just took Jesus and put it on the foundation that came from satan. That's why its so influential and also why its not accepted by most churches. The gospel rap industry needs to be torn down and rebuilt so that it can really glorify God. But as long as its foundation is from satan it will never glorify God. Young man keep bringing the Enlightment!!

  • Why do we keep pointing to people and not the JESUS CHRIST of the bible. Folks have provided hundreds of excuses for rappers, from twisting scriptures to almost cussing me out for this video analogy! Music will always be your hang up if your don't fully understand why it was created and its purpose. No one has yet proven biblical that music was used to so called "win souls". LIKE rapping is called to replace the Power of the Holy Ghost... give me a break!

  • you are right. Jesus and the twelve never used music to evangelize. it was only to praise GOD.

  • Whoever made this video, I clearly understand your point. I personally dont agree with Holy Hip Hop. I dont mind rap, but the Hip-hop is a way of life and how can we as Christians be savedand born again of the spirit of God, and still look and act like the world. The people of God, we have to stand out and look not just like them or dress like them or take on their music ways either. Lets stand out and set an example. Nevertheless, we must continue to pray for one another. Love u all...

  • 5.2Timothy 2verse 15 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Wake up ya'll! We are in very evil times where it's getting harder to identify who the real enemy is. Try Yahweh's spirit of truth. He sent Jesus to set us all free. Peace!

  • We are the Real Tru'z!....So You Saying It's a Sin 2 Do What We Do?

  • that was wel funny man lol

  • but my things is this look at alot of the other Gosple songs though just dont point at the rappers look at the singers too The emmulate the World just as much as the rappers Yolanda Adams on Stage with Kanye West and Chaka Khan what is that?

  • haha, look, they tryin to replace what the wordly kids like with godly music, its not wrong to have something with the same sound, there is so such thing as christian music, only christian lyrics

  • wow that's crazy...I always had those comparisons in my head but never compiled it like this wow

  • This technique used here is called text painting. Many of the so called christian music today is replete with conflicting messages between the lyrics and the music itself. Our mouths may praise God or have Yeshua's name all in it, but the message conveyed through immoral music techniques far outweighs the message of the lyrics. HHH usage of immoral music with "christian" lyrics creates confusion!

  • Wow that is so true. That's why I'm very careful to what music I listen too.

I think it's good to reach the youth in different outlets though. God knows people heart.

I do think there should be a LINE when it comes to using club beats and background music from filthy mainstream songs and then trying to cover it with the words of Christ...that WON'T work ever!

  • well it did cause alot tenns got save.

  • What makes the music immoral? Is it the instruments or the tempo? I do believe that christian artists should always portray an upright, godly image (no sagging pants, no excessive jewelry or expensive clothing, no proud looks) But what about original music made by someone who loves God? Music that makes you want to dance and jump in joy and triumpth mixed with a message that glorifies the One who gives us victory, Jesus Christ? Now I don't believe in HHH but I do believe in creative gospel rap.

  • I absolutely agree. We are on the exact same page, because you don't always have to wear saggin' pants, a whole lot of jewelry, flashy clothing, or a proud/arrogant look to reach out to the lost. I believe that in order to win people and have victory, you should be original, and ask God to give you the words to reach out to those people, because they also want somebody who is original. The real originality and creativity in gospel music involves genuine praise and worship, not a copy cat of rap.

  • so you are telling me that Da T.r.u.t.h.,trip lee,116 clique, lacrae, the ambasstor, toby mac,phanatik,Grits....and many many other gospel rappers might be fake and aginst God??

  • Thats what I said but I have been looking at these clips they still listne to the worlds music. Japhia life and Da Truth did this interview that messed me up fam for real I should have known better so I'm not surprised

  • not really cause my six year old cousine knows the difference.

  • @spiritofdumb -AMEN !
