  • @ICEcasinoent How do you do this in Joomla 2.5? There is no Text Filtering Tab.

  • Worked like a charm with no bogs. Clean and clear tutorial. Thanks and Kudos! Liked and shared.

  • Thank you!!!!!

  • great help for me. Thank you.

  • Thank you! It works in one time! Great option!

  • Fantastic work - thank you sooooo much for sharing!

  • Hello, thanks for the video its very informative. I do have a question, I am running Joomla 1.7 and when I do go to article manager options, i specifically do not see the text filters tab. I am logged in as the only super user. I was able to follow the rest of the steps, and my embed did fail, i assume because i did not have the proper permissions... any idea why that tab is not available for me?

  • @GraphicsBrandMkting After looking into this further, I noticed the text filter options are now in the Global Configuration settings... not sure when that was moved... but just an fyi if anyone runs into the issue... and setting it was identical as you had it after i found it and it worked great...

    Better than a module...!

  • does one leave the no filtering for the super user or do you go back afterwards and reset it? will that screw up the video then?

  • Thanks for the tutorial. It saved me having to go for second rate plug-ins.

  • Thank you very much!

  • thanks you very much !

  • thank you very much .really helpful.

  • my joomla 1.7 doesn't have in articles the insert/edit embeded media button?

  • Thanks for the great tutorial :) Any tips for the JCE editor? I can get it to work, but i have to first switch to code view. For some reason, when i just paste it in as recommended below, it replaces the standard ^ characters for tags with their some other code equivalents. It'd be nice not to have to go back and forth to the code editor in jce. Just one less step that might make it easier for persons not familiar with navigating around code view :)

  • Thanks for the tutorial!!! A hint for the JCE Editor users: after changing the Article Administration configuration, go straight to the article and paste de embed code (old code, as youtube says). Voilá!

    Thanks again BagginsX. =)

  • thx

  • In the tinyMCE plugin settings there is a list of forbidden or excluded tags, and if you remove the iframe tag from the list, you can use iframe to embed. Now, I am not an expert, so I don't know if this will have any security risks doing so.

  • Just curious, is there any way to embed a video from youtube to Joomla using html 5 tags?

    Great, informative video btw
