That really is unlucky, his instructor placed his hand on his cutaway cord :S He should have placed it on his pilot chute cord, on his back. Lucky they pack 2 parachutes!

@mason2904 The instructor didnt place his hand on his cutaway.
The instructor was holding his hand as the student pulled the cutaway (the instructor is being pulled to the cutaway not the other way around)
You can tell this because the instructor goes unstable trying to struggle with the student then pulls his ripcord for him.
