  • 2 people have never felt the blues

  • who the fuck disliked this

  • anyone else hear of this from "O Brother Where Art Thou"?

  • God that's sweet. This is the auditory equivalent of a candied apple.

  • @TheUnworthy Actually, eating a lot of candied apples will make you sick. I think this is like the 30th time I've heard this song and I'm still lovin it.

  • LODES OF MONEY

  • sounds like skip james.

  • I feel like listening to either version while at a campfire... smoking a cigar and drinking whiskey with a few good friends.

  • @ac120479 totaly, i would rock a corncob pipe n sum jack daniels

  • This doesn't compare to Skip James.

  • @drunknmonky77 Really depends on what you're lookin' for.

  • can you make this available for mobile youtube please ?!

  • @blakstarr18 sure thing. ..how do I do that again?

  • @lilwil132 i dont exactly know... i tried to watch this on mobile youtube, and it said "the owner of this content has not made this video available for mobile youtube". so i figured id ask you if you could do that for me.

  • good old slow blues

  • @scooma1 agree

  • Just think, it took a movie to introduce a lot of people to this style of music. Thank God I was listening to this all along. Most other music pales in comparison.

  • @PavelZajec What movie is this?

  • @emfayutck "O Brother Where Art Thou", it's a really good film, if the opinion of some random guy on the internet means anything anymore

  • After watching Oh Brother Where Art Thou, I began to really look further into the minds of people during this time. Blues has become a big part of music life and I am proud to say that. Blues is one of the one forms of music with the most meaning and emotion. Since blues developed in the Depression days, there is a lot of influence in the music. I wish I could feel the passion like they did and be able to express it through such wonderful music. If anyone has any further thoughts reply to this:)

  • @yangdjinn13 i am glad I'm not the only one who saw that movie and thought to myself.."hey this song is very awesome...i wanna seek out more" thumbs up to you sir... you and me both on that note about the movie and wanting more music from him and similar artists. just had to laugh to myself that someone else thought the same thing .

  • @yangdjinn13 Read alot of Langston Hughes's work. He wrote a poem called "The Weary Blues" which I am in the process of writing an analysis on. His work buries its roots deep in Harlem and can show you exactly what it was like for the black community. Remember that in order to play the blues, you don't need to feel the pain of their time, but of your own. Blues is all about connecting with the music and letting it scream the anguish and pain you are feeling. It's very healthy for the soul.

  • @scooma1 20,000 still is still nothing compared to what it should be. I'm 19 and am personally upset with how my peers choose their musical catalog. Of course, there are still tons of kids who ACTUALLY know how to appreciate good music, but it isn't enough if you ask me.

  • Very nice tone, can't fake that

  • owowwowow i finally learned how to play this song its always in my head so im glad

  • What an awesome blues song. Pure magic.

  • this guy's a genius

  • @neildoyle101 Saying it like it is...

  • Drive through Michigan's Upper Peninsula (the most deserted highways you can find) with this song playing on repeat.. you'll never forget the experience, I promise you. I won't. There's a desolation to the deserted miles and miles which complements this piece so well..

  • this is the absolute best version of this song, (Skip James did wonders, im just waiting for someone to clean up the audio, in my ears the static negates all sounds and thats all i hear unfortunately, but its medical not me being a dick)

also never leave this on repeat while on a 5-8 mile run down dirt roads, its indescribable

  • The guys below me say it's depressing.... It's life cruel pitiful life

  • Brilliance!

  • Only comparable to greats like like Robert Petway, Scrapper Blackwell, or Skip James

  • I keep listening to this over and over again. But no shit, this is one depressing fucking song.

  • is he playing this with a capo?

  • @CarbonRainMaker no its a crazy tuning, I'll have to dig up my tabs from a cpl years ago, I'll get back to you on that.

  • @CarbonRainMaker Dm tuning DAFDAD

  • @jdcook1994 Its DADFAD not DAFDAD

  • @CodyDeLaney69 ha typo sorry, or maybe i just did it backwords i don't remember

  • Great stuff!

  • now that's an artist

    beautiful

  • canno't do better...

  • pure sex, thats what this is masterpiece is.
