4. Halo 3 - sux I just cant give a crap about masterchief.
3. Borderlands - Its supposed to be a diablo fps, what a load of shit, it feels nothing like diablo and the dungeons and lack of story make this a bad game.
2. Shadow of the collosus - dumb idea that has been done a million times before. and he turns into a baby at the end, lame as all hell.
1. Starcraft 2- The game took 12 years to come out and this is the best they can do.
10. God of War 3 - he kills himself at the end making it all pointless. 9. Shenmue - snorefest 8. Fallout 3 - Facial animation makes everyone look like machines 7. GTAIV - that asshole cousin phones every 20 secs and the game is one big tutorial. 6. Modern Warfare 2 - Too many idiots ruining online play. 5. Super Mario Galaxy 2 - The controls and camera suck.

Just go to their official forum, it's brutal, people working at Bungie, ain't too happy, tons of complaints, the staff won't answer any question to what is going on with Bungie's new title, which was supposedly to show up at E3 2008, people have quit their jobs. Just because a game is disappointing doesn't mean it's bad. If the "The Dark Knight Rises" turns out to be average film, I'll be dissappointed. It doesn't it was bad, just didn't live up to expectations.

I liked State of Emergency, Fable was amazing, Doom 3 was pretty good. MGS 2 I don't understand about being disappointment. If the game was good how was it a disappointment? I thought it was pretty good. I can't speak for galaxies personally, but I thought it was received pretty well? The rest I guess I can agree with.
@MrTrevdub It wasn't as good as Doom 1 and 2. It was too different. Doom 1+2 were just crazy shoot-em-ups just KILL KILL KILL! Doom 3 had too much story and horror.

Stop whining about Fable being on the list. They didn't say the game sucks but that it was disappointing and I totally agree with that. I like the game but I didn't bought all the bs Molyneux told us so my expectations weren't too high. However it surely was a huge disappointment if you were one of the believers. It totally didn't deliver what it promised and Molyneux even apologized. It's a disappointing game but that doesn't mean it's bad! Disappointing and sucky aren't synonyms you know.

@PrimeConsciousness No it isn't. Sonic the Hedgehog and realistic characters work together perfectly. If you don't think so then you don't know what you are talking about. Sonic games are meant to be realistic with a touch of fantasy mixed in which is why 06's story is pretty much perfect. Now if only the gameplay could have been perfected then it would be the best Sonic game ever made.
@pkstarstorm1up I disagree. Incorporating realism into a thoroughly cartoon universe isn't adviseable in most circumstances. Sonic began with a cartoon style, aired a cartoon and is a cartoon concept. Imagine if a Mario title were to include realistic characters and imagine how that would ruin the "Mushroom Kingdom" setting. Combining surrealism with realism needs to be done with severe discretion.
@PrimeConsciousness Sonic was never meant to be cartoony. That was just implanted into peoples heads by the lame SOA and the whole crappy Dic Entertainment Sonic cartoons (SatAM being an exception) Sonic is a Japanese anime styled character therefore he is meant to be and is better off being realistic. I wouldn't care if Mario had a few realistic characters. Pauline for one look like a real New York Woman despite the cartoony artstyle.
@pkstarstorm1up Can you point out anything other than that newfangled Sonic game that uses realistic characters? If you can I'd like to know because everything Sonic themed I've ever seen has been cartoon animations entirely.
Fable - Fable was an amazing game with an open world to explore, even though it was only some areas where nothing more than corridors it was still fun, the story was fantastic and the graphics for its time were great.
Doom 3 - .... just no.... Doom 3 to some people may be predictable but most people its not and from the reviews when it first came out only a few said about the graphics being amazing and most of them where actually talking about the game

Star Wars the Force Unleashed should be here too. Don't get me wrong, I like that game, but it really could've been great, yet it didn't. The story was too short and the powers you gain aren't exactly evolving. Example: on the PS3 your force lightning even fully upgraded looks more like sparks than something big. On the ps2 when fully upgraded you unleash a lightning storm. That's why I have to say all TFU ports except ps2 were disappointing. It had the potential, but never achieved it.
@supereldinho Force Unleashed 2 was even worse. For people who enjoyed TFU (like me), TFU2 was the worst thing ever. same powerups, same plot, same crap. It was awful.
@theghostofbleach56 Like I said, TFU and its sequel both had the potential to be great games...but none of them ever achieved it. Again, I can only say that the ps2 version of TFU was worthwhile, it had nicer gameplay, a longer story and cutscenes exclusive to it.

@supereldinho I'm not saying it's a bad game,I actually played quite a bit of Fable, and I agree, it's completely molyneux's fault, he always promises shit and doesn't meet with expectations, Just take, Dungeon keeper(no third installment), Black and white 1+2 and all the promises made about populous (I think he developed that), but I was still a little dissapointed by the fact the game was missing all these features he'd promised.

Fable should NEVER have been on this list.. It's the best game of the fable franchise, and was a immersive and brilliant.. If someone could hope more from a game of that time, then they're foolish (Growing trees, etc for a game of that time?.. Who is that guy?).

@pacman5698 It was hyped to be a magnificent game and in my opinion it did not deserve a perfect score at all. A step down from San Andreas in my eyes; more so a rehash of GTA III with a pointless 'friendship' system that served only to irritate me whenever I specifically did not want to play bowling, but at least it had a good storyline. Not much replay value besides online, and frankly, I found online disappointing also. At the very most it deserved a 9, let alone a TEN.
I love how if you look back, Perfect dark zero was praised as being an amazing shooter for the 360. I don't think anyone actually gave it a bad review, especially not game trailers. Yet here we are, 5 years later and its one of the most hated 360 launch titles.
This is not a list of bad games, it's a list of disappointing games. I agree that Fable was a very fun, good game, but it didn't deliver things it promised. The ability to customize your character completely, and how much the game changed depending on if you were good or bad are 2 things I remember hyped to no end, but didn't reach near what was promised. That's why it's on the list.

I'd have to disagree with two things:
Fable - Fable was an amazing game with an open world to explore, even though it was only some areas where nothing more than corridors it was still fun, the story was fantastic and the graphics for its time were great.
Doom 3 - .... just no.... Doom 3 to some people may be predictable but most people its not and from the reviews when it first came out only a few said about the graphics being amazing and most of them where actually talking about the game

Star Wars the Force Unleashed should be here too. Don't get me wrong, I like that game, but it really could've been great, yet it didn't. The story was too short and the powers you gain aren't exactly evolving. Example: on the PS3 your force lightning even fully upgraded looks more like sparks than something big. On the ps2 when fully upgraded you unleash a lightning storm. That's why I have to say all TFU ports except ps2 were disappointing. It had the potential, but never achieved it.

@theghostofbleach56 Like I said, TFU and its sequel both had the potential to be great games...but none of them ever achieved it. Again, I can only say that the ps2 version of TFU was worthwhile, it had nicer gameplay, a longer story and cutscenes exclusive to it.

@Darthellawayc Then it was Molyneux who disappointed us, not the game. I mean, he overpromised a bunch of stuff about the game, not the game itself. Compared to most other RPG's, Fable is a pretty solid one. Besides, it's all a matter of opinion.

@supereldinho I'm not saying it's a bad game,I actually played quite a bit of Fable, and I agree, it's completely molyneux's fault, he always promises shit and doesn't meet with expectations, Just take, Dungeon keeper(no third installment), Black and white 1+2 and all the promises made about populous (I think he developed that), but I was still a little dissapointed by the fact the game was missing all these features he'd promised.

Fable should NEVER have been on this list.. It's the best game of the fable franchise, and was a immersive and brilliant.. If someone could hope more from a game of that time, then they're foolish (Growing trees, etc for a game of that time?.. Who is that guy?).
Though i loved the message from ''Daikatana'', ''Hiro Miyamoto failed at life''... Priceless.

@pacman5698 It was hyped to be a magnificent game and in my opinion it did not deserve a perfect score at all. A step down from San Andreas in my eyes; more so a rehash of GTA III with a pointless 'friendship' system that served only to irritate me whenever I specifically did not want to play bowling, but at least it had a good storyline. Not much replay value besides online, and frankly, I found online disappointing also. At the very most it deserved a 9, let alone a TEN.

I love how if you look back, Perfect dark zero was praised as being an amazing shooter for the 360. I don't think anyone actually gave it a bad review, especially not game trailers. Yet here we are, 5 years later and its one of the most hated 360 launch titles.

This is not a list of bad games, it's a list of disappointing games. I agree that Fable was a very fun, good game, but it didn't deliver things it promised. The ability to customize your character completely, and how much the game changed depending on if you were good or bad are 2 things I remember hyped to no end, but didn't reach near what was promised. That's why it's on the list.
