I had this idea ten years ago ... it's nice to finally see someone make it happen ... there are plenty of ways of saving a few watts here and there... I am sure you could design a purpose built model that would slightly up the wattage in this things but I understand that there are limits to human production capacity
you know if the gym combined this tech with passive solar , led lighting .. daytime conservation of lights etc .. the goal would be to save the energy costs of operation .. not bad
As usual Faux noise has no clue what they are talking about. This time it is the difference between kW & kWh. "1 kw of energy energy 10 hours" makes no sense. Perhaps they meant to say: each unit generates 100 watts.
Talking about "green energy"... reducing mindless consumption and waste would do much more than this hair brained scheme. But conservation is a bad word here in 'murica.

Yeah, the media rarely gets this stuff right.
This is still a kinda CooL idea. I could power my laptop and/or my little clip on fan on the elliptical trainer at the gym.
