  • This is such a poignant little film, and I feel they did the Bradbury story justice. I also feel that of all the films (Including feature length ones) I have seen regarding this kind of apocalypse, this little film beats them all out in terms of atmosphere. So many of them focus on humans surviving through harsh and horrible conditions, but here... we are gone. Just... gone. We fall asleep, and never wake again; as our misguided technology carries out its tasks... it is just so eerie.

  • @NevermindTheGame to me the morale seems to be ; appreciatie what you have...

  • What's the morale of the story though?

  • @NevermindTheGame Why must everything have a moral?

Point is to sort of show technology going through it's normal routine well after the end of the human race without ever really understanding the point. If you have to write it off as having a moral try the poem the thing's named after.

Once we're gone the world wont care.

  • Interesting take on a great story... The part with the bird trying to get through the screen was pretty heartbreaking :(

  • I'm gay

  • Does anyone know who sings that version of "The Moon was Yellow"?

  • id be fucking scared to death if i had a fucking creepy dick talking to me.

  • 240p???!? this really is post apocalyptic Russia...

  • Not one would mind neither bird nor tree

    If mankind perished utterly

    LOVE IT!!!

  • This scared me and my BF quite a bit. I hate the part where they're all decintigated :(

  • This is fantstic; truly inspired animation; creepy as hell.

  • That is Mario Lanza, singing I believe.

  • Dear God, this is dark.

  • Does anyone the name of the song played on the record?

  • @sentrynebri Its called the moon was yellow

  • @OstrichInAHat By who?

  • @sentrynebri As far as i can tell it is by frank sinatra

  • @OstrichInAHat No, it can't be Frank Sinatra; it's not his voice.

  • I like this a lot. Look at video "Noir Naiton" if found on Youtube. They look for short stories, graphic novels, and short films! Also "Noir Nation" on Facebook.

  • Does anyone know who's singing The Moon was Yellow?

  • I love this story. I've read it in school, and I'm happy to see they made a cartoon of it. This should really be a wake up call to people. Not that it will be though.

  • Ya Roboat Ya Roboat

  • @MrDocumentia i lold so hard i pooped

  • Did anyone else smell the eggs when they got cracked into the frying pan at the beginning?

  • I like the story and everything but there are loop holes like how did the robot survive a nuclear fallout yet not a fire?

  • @metallover315 that's so true! its circuit and microprocessors would've been damaged beyond repair.

  • @metallover315 Ha ha, Yeah, strange how in this short film adaptation the people are inside charred to death yet the house is completely intact...I think them being outside would make more sense, though still doesn't explain the survival of the house. And the house didn't survive the fire because at one point it uses up all the water, and when it finally finds something else to put it out the fire is too uncontrollable. Though still, the whole bomb thing...hahah.

  • GLaDOS's less-evil brother.
