yes and have you noticed how lowsy service at most places has gotten these days. unless you go to a fancy high dollar place and for me thats RARE.. but everyone seems to NOT GIVE A DAM. handshakes, knowing peoples names, not texting but calling, i like that way best. but there are still some of those left.
Perhaps for some people the internet is not viable. But.. Many will buy art, technology items, gifts and more online without worrying about seeing, and are more concerned with the ease of purchase. Amazon.com, ebay are great examples.
I agree about seeing art in person or that nothing will replace handshakes, eye contact, etc.
Internet buying is not a supplement, but for many, a first choice. Do not discount it as viable is all I am saying.
Just one observation: whether selling online, or in a gallery, or directly, one of the most important factors, if not the most important is the quality of work.
Not only it's technical aspect, but also it's originality.
Of course that there are other factors, but that's another long story...
@hushcolours I would have to disagree a little bit. Depending on your buyer, quality of work means nothing. A lot of people don't "collect" art. They just want to decorate with it. Mostly they just look for color.
i guess i'm a bit late for that seminar... it's about to be 3 years

if i listed 5 ways to sell art, the internet MIGHT be the last.
i'm just saying, nothing will ever replace handshakes, eye contact, & seeing art in person....the internet is a supplement at best.

Thanks for the tips. I'm just dipping my toes in the water, but I'm good, and my stuff is beautiful.
