Our biggest problem here in BC is silt caused by bad logging practices.
Our baseline substrate particle size distribution showed 4% sub 2mm. material.
A few years later it had gone up to 17%. I tracked the silt back up through the water shed to some new cut blocks but the Ministry of Forests wasn't interested in doing anything about it.
