@schuschera I mean, I´m searchin all the time for new input about dancing with poi.But the only things I find till yet in that way, was few tribal dancer, who do a butterfly, maybe a wave + some hip movements to it. Nice to find something like that, I´m also trying to work / play with dancing and poi spinning, just a little bit slower.Thank you very much, you ake my day! :)
When I was in high school my dance teacher liked that I spun poi in class, and I danced with it, but she would've loved you. You put me and a lot of other poi artists out there to shame, make us look like we're just standing still
I just love this video... combining poi with tecnical dancing (like classical ballet) is hard, really hard. Tryed it a few times but either my dancing or the poi ends up looking terrible :). You are doing great!!!
The CAP jeté is such a beautiful combination, thank you so much for all the inspiration!
This was a delightful watch! Its always good to remember that when spinning, we are dancing. We take from our experiences and pour into this medium and channel our energy to create beauty. Keep doing this, I am definitely interested in where this could go :D
@Insignia I'm interested to see where this can go too! Going to keep working at it & also trying to incorporate more tech. Inswings/antispin elements are a fantastic idea and definitely something to work towards, plane shifting as well. We'll see how it goes!
Totally agree, I do love that each one of us has backgrounds which influence our spinning in the most unique ways. I love that, say, 20 people can all learn the same move and each really bring their own individual expression into it :)
@omnipoi Thats what matters most. Its the expression. I've said it for years; a weave is a weave is a weave. The standard move construct is the base for what it is. How its performed; entered and exited depends on the expression of the performer. Its what gives that same move character and defines and separates the performer from the rest of the people executing that very same move. I like your expression :D
yeah nice!!!

Beautiful way of combining dance into poi. Happiest moves I've seen so far! Especially your moves for meltdowns and upward stalls! Awesome possum!
