This is bullshit... some of the owners didnt even try to catch the dog when it fell.. what happens when it breaks its legs of neck?! you gonna put it down? This, and the pits pulling carts full of blocks, is just like horse racing... its mostly impractical and cruel..

@HaileyIsAGoddess These dogs are tougher than they look, the pit bull terrier was bred to be stable, solid, and to ignore pain. You insult their abilities when you say they would break a leg, German Shepherds and Malinois are trained this all of the time in the work force, or would you rather the pit bulls killing each other in the fighting ring? These are working dogs bred to be the roughest, toughest, and strongest they can be! If it were cruel, they wouldn't be doing it!

@StefyStuff No you dolt, I don't want them to be in the fighting ring... But in the "work force" dogs train to protect citizens....This "training" is nothing but sport for human enjoyment. The part that bothers me is when the dog misses the tire they fall 10 feet or so and land...HOPEFULLY...on their feet and not their neck. Some of the owners don't even try to catch them.

@StefyStuff You say they are meant to ignore pain... YEAH. OKAY. but they are still IN pain. It's inhumane... If the dog wants to attack the tire... let it.. but not by getting it so worked up it runs full speed towards a wall trying to climb up it only to catch the tire sometimes.. and the rest of the time fall down however many feet it climbed up.

@AnabelNSalvia that's probably the best thing I've ever heard, people would actually have to take care of their dog and breed only the most athletic dogs! If that were to happen, the n the german shepherd would be replaced by the pit bull as K9 deputies
