if its music do you have to have the isrc codes. it seems like you have to go through extreme mesures to get that isrc code. like copy write of each track, isrc application, labels name , ascap application ect.

you dont need to be invited.... sometimes it will say something above your video telling you that you can be paid for your videos.

I heard it take a long time, not sure how long but thats the only thing i could find out. I got the email too, but i think i have copyright issues using music so now i have advertisement on my channel but im not getting paid, the music company is making money off of me.
