HD DVD has 15 GB of capacity and 30 GB if it's a dual-layer.

Blu-Ray has 25 GB of capacity and 50 GB if it's a dual-layer.

And Blu-Ray could even reach almost 100 GB in some formats...

I The bottom line is, I'm barley playing mine. I bought it (for 500 dollars btw) expecting excuslives and great games. Yeah, MGS was awesome, but that was it. Everything is on the Xbox 360, and since 90% of my friends own that, I had to get one and now get cross plat games & Halo on that console.

The PS3 was a terrible investment, and CURRENTLY it's doing well because it's only$300. In a broad perspective, it's been far outsold by everything else.

I bought it so i could play, and I'm not.

A) The online is Bad for me, and Xbox's online is 4 bucks a month. PSN sucks, I'm waiting for MAG so maybe I can use it again.

B)It doesn't have better games. I was waiting for tekken 6. Now it's on the 360 as well, so I'm getting for 360. GTA IV was 2 expansions for the 360, so I bought it for the 360.

C) I don't care about Blu Ray. It's a stupid format. I would have rather had a DVD or HD DVD with lots of games and developers, maybe a little cheaper.

It's all about the games man. I don't care about blu-ray, there's barley a difference between it, and HD DVD. Besides, compression makes it all the same.

I don't use a 360 over wifi, but trust me, PSN is a pain in the ass when you get used to Xbox Live. It's just so fluid, and everyone you know pops up, and it's even linkable to your windows accounts. I just prefer it imore.

MGS utlized blu-ray for uncompressed textures, but mainly, uncompressed cinamatic sound. That's really the advantage of blu-ray, sound. That's not a bad thing, although when it comes to a console, trading third party developers (as blu-ray format SUCKS for developers) for better sound is NOT wise.

And "servers" are nothing. Service is where it's at, and XBL is just plain better. PSN is coming around...

Incorrect, bluray is a data medium and has no effect on the development of a game, the PS3's CPU and Graphics Synth may be hard to program for, but bluray itself does not make it more difficult at all. Its like asking this, is it harder to copy a song to a CD or DVD? Same difficulty.

It all depends on your cabling, hardware, and ISP cabling. I hope he used the exact same for each test because any change could create a bottleneck and slow down performance. For 100MegaBytesPerSecond, you would have to have like CAT6 or higher special cabling and like fiber optic cabling nonstop to the server. =P bunch of bull man.. I know for a fact xbox has very fast internet capabilities because they are making a new 802.11n wireless adaptor, look it up.

It seems like it would be the other way around since XBL makes you pay for their service and Sonys is free. XBOX has to have servers since they have the whole marketplace and everything. Plus, the games creators each have their own servers for the game they put out (unless perhapse its a Microsoft coorporation, then they may share servers). If you have a game company that wants to cut costs they may go with a p2p connection though. So, im gonna say it depends on the company.

Listen, there are some Gems on the PS3, but there are just too few. I went expecting a library like the PS2's to emerge. The PS2 had every genre and every developer under the sun. The PS3 is dwindling. Yes, Uncharted and MGS rock but those are the only 2 excuslives I like.like I said, when 90% of the guys you play with choose the 360 version of a cross plat, you're gonna get the 360 version.

The PS3 ripped me off for some blu-ray, and never gave me really what i wanted.
