What it really boils down to is people are only going to see and hear what their minds can comprehend. Anyone who has never suffered from depression can turn on an Elliott Smith record and all they will hear is depressing music, but when somebody who understands it listens to it, they might find something more beautiful, like a kindred spirit maybe.

I love this song..I love the contrast between the loud,hard part and the soft part. That was one of the things nirvana were known for..and i think every true kurt/nirvana fan should watch the movie Last Days cause it really shows how miserable kurt felt..He wasn't a god or a genius! Later, when I watched the American remake of the film "Funny Games," I was so blown away by this man's acting! He is right up there with the best. As for idolizing 90's grunge rock, it is of my opinion that Pitt just likes Alt-rock music, in general. His own music is very bare-minimum, accoustic stuff. Perhaps he does identify with the abstract & angst found in many of those grunge bands.

@pennyroyaltea89 You don't get it! They are supposed to this really isnt a Pagoda song, its just titled Pagoda because of Micheal Pitt. If you haven't already understood, this is a EXTRA from the movie Last Days about Kurt Cobain and Nirvana. This EXTRA is supposed to be a part of the Movie as them still ACTING as Nirvana. Once again Pagoda has never played this song and it is not on their album. It was just for the Movie. I apologize if you think I'm trying to bite your head off.

@ChrisSvansky i actually didn't know that, i'm glad it didn't make it into the movie though that would of killed the mood of the movie so bad, i really liked the movie and micheal pitt did a great job but yea that song is pretty bad lol i liked the album though, i downloaded it so it had happy song as well as both versions of death to birth on it. i'd be interested to hear their new album for sure.

Sounds like Nirvana? Guess what? Nirvana is an AWESOME band (my favorite band), so that's something good.
Yes, it's got lots of Nirvana influence on it, but it's not exactly the same. It's still great music. I hope they release a new album soon.

@mah696969 Influence is not copying. This song was on the soundtrack of "Last Days", which was a movie inspired on Kurt's last days, so the song had to be something like that.

It's a nice copy, but it is a copy so near the end you don't know how to feel... I felt like wow Nirvana ruled cause this looks like something Kurt would've would've done in his early years, like if it said rare Nirvana footage from 89 or something.... I liked the born in a junkyard reference that's actually a Nirvana song.

Actually listen to You Know You're Right" he poked fun at love in interviews by mentioning billy pumpkin ect. not to mention he had a newborn and the fact that there was waaay too much heroin in his system, no prints on gun, and his credit card was used hours before his body was found and released to public.

(had to cut my sentence short) i had no clue who this band was until i seen a goof up on song meanings' website. this guy is pretty annoying and this band is nowhere near Nirvana. 1-10 scale i give them a 6. there was no 10 till, and since, Nirvana. Zep 9, Beatles 9, AIC 9, STP 9, Silverchair 9. this band has a while to go. i think he purposely tries to sound like. Cobain. not too impressed

@MolecularMoonlight I first took notice of Michael Pitt when he was in the film, "Bully." Later, when I watched the American remake of the film "Funny Games," I was so blown away by this man's acting! He is right up there with the best. As for idolizing 90's grunge rock, it is of my opinion that Pitt just likes Alt-rock music, in general. His own music is very bare-minimum, accoustic stuff. Perhaps he does identify with the abstract & angst found in many of those grunge bands.
