  • my parents buy the family's first car 2012 subaru forester 2.5 xt turbo, last month!

  • i own a 2003 forester and the engine is sick but the transmission may as well have been from the time when michael jackson was black

  • Subaru: my anti-drug

  • I like the look of the old Foresters more.

  • There are no "old" Subaru's.....just trailblazers.

  • can someone tell me if the automatic is worth it. my wife cant drive stick and i dont think she even wants to learn. 4 speed does not seem very fun or even worth it. Why are they still stuck in the early 80s with a 4 speed?

  • @NickHimSeIf My 2001 Forester has the automatic and as far as autos go, it's really not bad. I was hesitant, as I am usually a manual driver from when I owned older E36 BMW's, but I can honestly say it's a good automatic system. Boring? Totally, like all automatics. But sturdy and the gear changes are nice and smooth.

  • @SovietMordor Thanks Bro that is good to know. Well she is going to be going from the VW gti with DSG to this. I think its more practical for us but I dont think she going to like it haha. Is it slow? Can you compare to any other cars out there right now? How is the high way driving?

  • @NickHimSeIf It's not slow, but I wouldn't call it fast. You'll maybe do 120 flat out if you want to really torture it and the 0-60 isn't brilliant either, something like ten seconds? Although when you consider that it's basically a big beefy Impreza that's shaped like a box powered by only a 4cyl (at least the older ones anyway), it's not bad. The highway driving is very nice; it is insanely comfortable and the gas mileage is okay (I tend to average around 25).

  • @NickHimSeIf I can't really compare it to other cars in it's class because I haven't driven them, but chances are I'd take a Forester over something like a Rav4 any day. I mean, if you have the money to spring for something like a Land Rover Discovery or a Toyota FJ Cruiser, I would definitely consider those as options also.

  • Why are you locking the wheels on the downhill? Seems to kinda defeat the purpose.

  • I have

  • great video, great music, amazing vehicule

  • Me too..my parent' s old car

  • great video, good footage.

  • colin would be proud

  • I thought only lesbians drove subaru's.

  • @forthelulz87 you thought wrong.

  • @zabcod

Oh. Its just that I only ever see lesbians driving them.

  • @zabcod I think very practical people drive Subaru. THe design is extremely functional, and I love it!

  • @wordgrrl71 couldnt agree with you more, tryna convince my chick friend to get a '98!

  • my 04 2.0xs has been such a trooper haha

  • don't subarus have an engine leak problem?

  • Continued **** 06 Forester***Once I was running late for work and was driving along a mountain road. I was doing about 55mph when I came over this hill and at the bottom the road had water across it. Didn't have time to brake so I held on. That car actually lost contact with the road but I gained contact on the other side of the wash out. My heart was in my throat. I actually screamed then began to laugh because the car and I survived. That was WILD!! Waiting for the F-STi

  • I have a 06 Forester with 175,000miles. It is the most reliable car I have ever owned. I drive the Grape Vine at least 3 or 4 times a year on my way to LA and San Diego. It's usually loaded down too. I LOVE IT. I've owned 3 Hondas, 2 BMW 7&5, 3 GMC/CHEVY trucks, and 1 Tribeca 08 and by far this car is my favorite. I don't really understand it sometimes. I don't even want my husband driving it. He's my mechanic SO I guess he has to sometimes.

  • @extramural

Sounds to me like your full of shit.

You sure it wasn't a honda you took out?

Forester has no problems handling anything you through at it. I just bought a 2010...best vehicle I've owned yet.

  • @loweredtalon: I purchased my forester about 8 months ago. So far this is the best "normal" car I have ever driven. It handles just about anything. I also had a 2004 rav4 but even if it was quite good it was nothing compared to the forester. I was also considering the new 2010 model but I found it to be more like driving a spaceship so I went for the 2005 model instead - I find it a much better car, and since it was used it was quite a bit cheaper as well ;)

  • i take ma fozzy off road,

been to places real 4wd's struggle to get to...and takes all my camping and fishin gear with me...

might raise it one day....see why everyone else does it?

  • Took a demo 2010 Forester for a test drive and the halfwit car salesman directed me straight onto a freeway for 10 kays before doing a u turn and driving the same freeway back to the yard. Yeah really impressed me...NOT! Did nothing for me and will look else where. The only excitement on that test drive was when a gust of wind nearly blew the car off the road as they handle poorly. Next....

  • @extramural

lol handle poorly hahahaha, one thing that subaru dose right is handle. lol most likely the driver is the problem, but I understand you 17 and just got your license lol everything is scary for you now ;)

  • How are the gaskets holding up? And the rear wheel bearings?

  • SUBARU + ELVIS = COOL!!

  • i think subaru should make a performance forester with a h6 maybe a turbo or supurcharger would be nice, what do you guys think of that?

  • They already make a 4 cylinder with turbo...puts about 230hp into it which is plenty for that little car.

I mean you won't be doing any street racing but that's not what the forester was meant for. If you want a street car go for the wrx ; )

  • @AmiableAdder the thing is....... with all wheel drive and 230 horsepower, it would beat most of those racer wanabes out there.

  • @TorchTexas

Ya, keyword is wannabes though (like half-tuned civics).

The forester wouldn't beat out any decent race car, though, which is why there's the wrx sti (which I was thinking about getting, but it's not as versatile as a forester or outback, it costs more, and I like to go camping).

230hp + awd (stock) would easily beat out any stock civic or corolla or any other wannabe street racing cars (i don't think many people choose corollas as a tuning car, but I've seen em).

  • @AmiableAdder Camping is cool. I'd get an Audi all road, or a volvo cross country.

  • They're a bit too expensive : /

I'm even considering a for ranger sport because I like Ford and it has a 4L V6 and it comes in manual. And they're only about 2/3 the price of a Outback 3.6R.

  • @AmiableAdder theres always the wrangler. I read that the 4 L. v6 on the ford is underpowered for its size.

  • look up Subaru forester STI! haha its owns

  • fuck u king pc of shit, if u luv suabru ud luv the whole family, go back to ur little world where u think ur the best, texas maybe red neck , my stock bike would eat ur pc of shit sti,

  • That makes no sense.

That's like saying if you love a band you love all their songs, which is almost never the case unless you're a fanboy (loving something and being a fanboy are not the same).

  • I have a Subaru sti.

But seeing that piece of shit would put me off.

    Buy a Disco!

  • I've never driven a Forester. Nice looking vehicle.

  • Good but as nice looking a dog poo! And a G500, more agile! Its a totally different price and type of car.

  • i think mercedes g500 is more agile. But can be less stable. I got to compare someday

  • I have a Forester 2001. I'm happy as a child!

  • турбовый судя по морде

  • i just got stuck in the snow on the middle of a mountain driving my parents forester 2.0x cause i was bored.. took me 20 minutes to dig it out of it without a shovel:)

  • absolutely adore this car..

  • zubaro needet!!

  • SUBARU JO SUPER

  • It doesn´t have the guts.

  • I wish my dealer took me out in a test drive like that

  • Where is this? I took my Subaru Forester out on the Alvord desert this summer in Southeastern Oregon. It performed great.

  • Im getting my parents old forester as my first car

  • @greg3507

Very Nice. What year is she?

I have my parent's old '98, and she's still running in top form.

  • @greg3507 me too :)

  • @greg3507 me too dude : )

  • thankyou thankyou very much

  • everytime i take my forester off roading i get the feeling that i'm going to bottom out, not enough clearance for the off roading i wanna do, heck you could just barely hop over a curb in this thing without worrying about sanding down the skid plate.

  • what you should do is make a big skid plate for your entire bottom of you car, that way it wont heart anything.

  • Comment removed

  • i would buy that car this summer, can't wait

  • Make sure you get the turbo model!!! Forester sports

  • depends on your needs, there is no need for a turbo for offroading

  • YES THERE IS! The more power you have, the better. DUH!

  • Power is indeed a crucial part but there are other aspects to what you refer to as "offroading" that are at time more important than raw power. And a Forester without turbo has plenty of power.

  • turbo looks cool too, why wouldn't you want the turbo. Its fun to say TURBO

  • @infrawiz rally:)

  • @infrawiz The Turbo Is There For People That Want A Little More Kick At The Strip And People That Cant Afford A Subaru Impreza Sti

  • maybe i gona do :)

  • Buy the 2009 Forester. I did. Great ride

  • very good

  • are there any suspension lifts out there available for the forester? or any offroad bumpers besides the one out in australia? im thinking about buying a 1998 white subaru forester and get rid of my 95 suzuki sidekick

  • my forester is bettttaaaaaaaaa : DDDDDD

  • but i am poor , now just i enjoy by my eyes only

  • kay i like this car .....................

  • Thats soft, come to AUS and see how to really 4wd a forester

  • that's soft too, please come to borneo 'kalimantan...

    than you know ....

  • coem to australia and we'll show yu how to actually 4wd ;) not just in a forester ..

  • got any vids? cant find any gud videos of Foresters offroadin at all on youtube

  • im getting that car!! woo. i miss the rav-4...car accident

  • Japan spec Forester STi ROCKS!!!

Sad we dont have them in Europe... It's MUCH better then XT!!!

  • We do have that in my country Norway, and we are in europe :D

  • I tested mine like this and it's great!

  • SCOOBYS ARE THE SHIT!

  • C'mon guys, when is it going off road. That's a highway in Oz. Show what they can really do, like 60 clicks down the beach or take into the bush. I own a Honda but am looking at the new Forester; great cars.

  • Yes, I had Samurai for short time - climb anything but it would beat the guts out of a man on a rough road. Wouldnt drive it on the highway either.

  • true story...but they can be a bit unstable. ill stick with mid-size offroaders.

  • suzuki samurai the ultimate off roader small light and could climb a tree almost!!!

  • nice car are they any good on rocks are small boulders please reply because its either 1 of these or a fj cruiser

  • The Forester is capable offroad for a car-based SUV, but the FJ Cruiser can handle much more challenging terrain (which it's designed for in the first place). However, on paved surfaces, the Forester is superior in most respects. It rides and handles like a car and gets better gas mileage (with the base engine) than many family sedans.

  • if you plan on any real offroading go either solid front axle jeep, early 90's toyota, or land rover defender. the forester and fj cruiser are both not going to be anything exciting offroad. if the occasional weekend outing no more serious than what is in this vid is all you plan on, then a forester would do nicely. even though i personally would never buy one.

  • the road is just sand with hand sized rocks but the information has helped me thanks

  • Most wanna be Suv now like the CRV can't climb that hill make that MOST Suv can't even perform like a Forester I want the STI FOrester or pop STi motor in one and tune to kill sports cars.

  • Thats what i have, popped and sti in the forester, and yes, kill most sports cars. my last victim was a skyline.hehehehe....

  • Subaru Forester is a great fuckin car you do not know shit endedru.

  • subarus are biyathes

  • Song name???

  • elvis presley- a little less conversation

  • the king still Live cool

  • Not the most impressive off road video, but props for tryin

  • i have a '99 forester and the thing is amazing they really are tough little guys

  • What kind of a tyre set is he using? Are these standart tyres or something special?

Lastikler ne merak ettim.Normal 4 mevsim lastikleriyle forester'ın performansı nasıl? Karda,çamurda, asfaltta standart 4 mevsim lastikleriyle de gidiliyor mu?

  • Excellent! Love Subies! I have a Subie Legacy, drives great! Been torturing the engine as cruelly as I could, it still performs like new!

  • This should be a commercial.

I'm not a fan of Subarus, but this makes me want this vehicle.

  • I wan't that car

  • It seems this Subaru does everything all the big hulking 4 wheel drives scream they can do eg: Hummer, Range Rover, etc. Really very impressive!! I had no idea these are so capable.

  • Subaru it as Belief - or it at you is, or is not

  • cool video.... don't think my sti would survive out there....

  • Testi kim yaptiysa ellerine ayaklarina saglik. foresterini benim gibi kullanan abiler de varmis diyebilmek guzel..

  • Cracking vehicle to drive and that's a very impressive demonstration of it off-road. I couldn't get over the 18MPG my 2.0XT was returning AT BEST, so it went down the road.

  • my '02 forester cant do half of that shit...maybe a new transmission and suspension would help...its not in the best of shape...it sounds like my friends '87 civic

  • whats wrong with your trans.....i work for the largest subaru only autowrecker in north america....maybe we can help?

  • mine's a 98 turbo i've had it since march i love my baby scooby

  • Love the FXT, Love the video - 5 stars!

  • I have a 2004 Subaru Forest XT, it is, hands down, the best car i could ever ask for. Not only is my car twice as fast as the car next to me 99% of the time but i offroad daily and that thing is unharmed. Ive never been stuck in mud or snow and ive never failed at climbing a hill. This car is awsome.

  • I have an 04 FXT 5mt as well. I've had over 40 cars, and by far, hands down, this is everything i could ask for in a car. i can truely say, i finally found what i have been looking for. Cheers.

  • its little less converstaion remix by elvis

  • Awesome video! 5 stars!

  • I love my 2006...no regrets...and get 30mpg too!

  • I love subarus - so much performance without sacrifice for either practicality nor exorbitant price. Hey, you can't take your Ford Mustang out on that trail (haha) and highest stock forrester could almost take on stock mustang!!

  • yes! subarus are for that !

  • Wow! What a great vehicle! And some great camera angles! How come we didn't see this on the Oscars show last week?

  • Well done, thanks :)

  • Man... this car is so cool... my father is gona buy the 2001 very soon... the 2.0 sti version does anyone knows how long can it go per liter? im refering about the 2.0 sti from the 2001

  • i have the 2001 forester limited... bloody good car, really put it through its pacess on the road, track, highways, brilliant carr dude. gonna start doing some mods wiht bigger wheels, suspension, exhausts etc. only complaint is slightly underpowered.

  • Love this car. I will have mine in a couple of days. Yeahhhhhhhhhh!!!!

  • Love the car. I will have mine soon, heheheeheeeee

  • Great video; it really shows the capability of the vehicle. Who is singing and what is the song? Elvis?
