  • Maybe next time I know of someone, I will suggest ths to others. Its obvious that the system we live in (western society), is designed to make you ill, its an attack on your soul and humanity, not only that people are sold the idea/dream that all will be well, just have to keep trying your best. This is obviosly not the case.

  • No, i havent. I will try and get a copy, thanks. but in the meantime, I googled his name and this came up! A conversation with John Weir Perry. I'll let you know what I think after I've read it.

  • Yes the world is far from ok, this causes pain. Perhaphs schizophrenics are more sensitive to this and is why they are often the lost ones

  • @maddmuppetonacid Have you read Trials of the Visionary Mind by John Weir Perry?

  • Well said zezt: I think you make good points. It's important to let yourself be sad and also not to wallow in it though, this becomes detrimental to you and your friends/family etc. You have to give urself time, everyones different I suppose. Just as important is not to kid yourself that a situation is ok, when it may not be! Peace

  • @maddmuppetonacid HI, I dont agree though. The actual meaning for example of 'schizophrenia' means 'borken heart' which is really sad, right? This culture tries to suppress REALLY sad people with so-called 'medication' which is not only toxic, but destroys body and soul because it suppresses natural deep healing processes. SO many peoples lives have been destroyed and continue to be so, because of this fear from the civilization about the depths of the psyche.

So on a common level when people

  • @zezt continued---when people tell you not to 'wallow' in it, they are basically doing the same thing. They are trying to make you suppress what really needs exploring---deep feelings. So this demand from the authorities and the people under their toxic myth puts SO much terrible pressure on people, including children, to conform and hide how we truly are feeling.

I really agree though when you say not to kid yourself a situation is fine when it aint. THAT is the sadness. Our world is very

  • @zezt contined---is very far from fine and this is why many people are really sad. We MUST listen to how we feel as it is the only way we can then heal.

    peace

  • this is a very important video. thank you for sharing your thoughts. i agree, emotions are not something to be ashamed of.

i'm going to need to watch more of your videos - i like the way your mind works.

    PEACE

  • @MicahBuzan me too ;)))

  • Psychologists now know that it takes a brave soul to take your life, and not a coward! I believe being sad can be an addiction, but a positive one in a sense because you see the world as it really is. It's beautiful, but so sad at times. Life is only a schooling , a way for the soul to grow and if we screw up than the depts of karma must be repaid. This isn't my law its the universal law and it applies to every soul on this planet. At the end we're all equal. Peace to you my friend!

  • Love is the key. Love yourself, and how you feel. Give how you feel freedom to feel which IS love

    Peace to you also :)

  • five stars, i agree. it's a social fear, and these particular expectations are unfortunate.

  • Good video, helps me because of how I'm feeling at the moment, so thank you. BTW you look like Terence Mckenna!

  • Thanks. I met him in about 1996! At his book signing for Real Hallucinations, and shook hands with him ;) A real unique guy

I am glad my video helps you. Makes doing em worthwhile ;)))

  • Wow, i wish i could have met him, he was indeed unique, strange how all of the heroes die young. And thanks again for this video!

  • Frankie Valli may have been pushing back at the saying "big boys don't cry" when he wrote the song "Big Girls don't Cry"

  • haha yeah. God, its so important to let it out. I mean when people hold shit--the real thing--in they dont feel proud do they? They feel constipated

  • lol.. quite true!

listening to, responding and expressing the messages of the body (and soul) helps one/ many to stay in tune with(in) themselves and the world. "nature calls"

  • nice said man..i have a vid like the one you responded to.

  • thanks, I will try and find it to see

  • Oh, yes, I saw it yesterday and commented. It is VERY honest

  • huh i've never thought of this that way

of sadness being an addiction but now that you bring it up in the way that you did...

you helped me understand myself alittle bit and everyone around me. thanks

  • Thanks man, thats what makes doing videos here really worthwhile, if you can connect with someone :)

  • thanks for the props oz. but i think you broke away from the topic of sadness being an addiction and turned it into male sexuality thing, which doesn't really have much to do with my video!

  • oz?

well what i am saying is that a lot of males dont allow expression of sadness so it can become not let out and go on and on....rather than letting it out

  • WHERE DO U HAIL FROM ORIGINALLY?

  • Good points, and complicated! is it a habit? I think the habit side is highly effected by foods. feeling happy, sad, hate love fear, are dominant archetypes. easy to generalize blends of feelings towards. When we're forced to choose between two feelings, emotion feeds through them and always puts an other feeling in the middle.. Emotion is just emotion like a river. It's sad we're in a time that we're forced to choose in which sadness is suppressed.. we need to express and let emotions flow

  • like a river.....i dont like to see brooks dammed up and will physically un-dam them, cause i hate to see all the stagnant water and litter build up....then the duck couples can glide down takin in the scenery unhindered...;))))

  • you olways have an interesting perspective on things.

i'm a poet, artist, and musicians.

one that doesn't feel bound by social norms, i'm very proud to say :)

  • its great being a non conformist right? but it can be hard too, right?

  • I think the first thing that needs to be addressed is the safety of expressing ones own emotions. I am very aware and believe that is why many cover up their emotions or act professional. Your point is well made.

  • Thanks Oz

yeah 'safety'...I mean you got the pressure of peers callin you faggot, pussy, and other demeaning terms if you want to express sadness

and the mental 'health' movement there ready with their labels stigmatizing natural emotions

So you gotta see through all that shit
