i think the little thing that your doing between the D and G during the verse is supposed to be the bass. I dont think the guitar actually does that.

i think you should include it with a distortion err..mesa thingy..,i mean the lead couldnt just do nothing in that particular part of the piece..,the bass needs support because it cant be heard..,

well the distortion and the pickups are 2 different switches, i can use distortion on any pickup it just gives me a different sound,also make sure all volume controls are up,might be why urs aint rinign out when u change it.
