What a shame that EVERY Guile player I've come accross online thinks they're pro by turtling up in a ball shooting Sonic booms then doing a light sonic boom jump in and double sweep then charge like retards into Flash Kicks.

Every single Guile does the same damn thing, it's not even good, they get their arses kicked and the reason being they never take advantage of Guile's rushing ability, they can't move forward while charging. What a shame that such a great character is wasted on noobs.

I've seen the video from the original creator of it here on YouTube, and in his description, he says that his rapid jabs are meant to charge his Super. But you may be right. But remember that this was made BEFORE SF4 was released, and they might have changed some things since the Beta.

I don't get it either. Ryu's second combo on Trial Hard mode doesn't make sense. The uppercut (crouching HP) just doesn't work when it should. The rest are copies of Ken's easier ones.

I just tried Ryu's 2nd hard, I had already done it (im sorta stuck on hard 5 hehe) all I can say is learn the timing to link the solar plexus into chp.

Oh yeah, it helps if you hold forward down (so like 4 o clock) and do the motion for the shoryuken, it prevents the hadouken from coming out. I'm assuming you can do the last part easily enough, the super cancel. oh yeah, you gotta dash forward out of that focus to get the plexus strike to land properly

Yeah I know but that's the thing about it. You CAN'T be that fast with his moves because you need a charge time. Like there's one point in the video where he pulls of the supercombo and he is litterally RIGHT UNDERNEATH THE SONIC BOOM!

hey bro im a guile player, and it is possible its just hard to do, there are parts in the video that he does a flashkick then it goes into the super. and that happens all the time you do for w kicks into your super. so if you switch it up and and do three w kicks and when your pulling your super push w punch when the joystick is up and slightly toward your opponent then kick guile will sonic boom then go into his super and his ultra if your really tight. im good but i only get this ever 1 of 4

you can actually charge for two moves at once... hold down back roll to forward press punch for sonic boom and roll to back up and all three kicks to have his ultra right after sonic boom.

Its really not hard to super cancel a flash kick. I can even do it on a normal PS3 pad.

There was nothing in this video that seemed impossible, but I must admit some of the stuff would be quite difficult to do. :P

Well, I do it like this.

I hold db, up and kick to do the flash, and then rotate the thumbstick to the up back position VERY quickly. Like I mean, very, very quickly, you gotta finish the motion and press kick whilst your opponent is still taking damage from the flash kick, thats why its called super canceling.

And if you do it this way, you can also combo into the ultra.

You don't need to stop to charge. You can charge anytime. Example, while doing a few punches and kicks, I'm holding back-down as well. I can pull off a sonic boom of flash kick that way.

Go to 3:10 in the vid it's a sonic boom then an instant super combo. I don't see how he had any time to charge to pull off the super

It's called "super cancelling". He inputs the sonci boom command in the middle of the super command. It's a technique many characters can use. For example Ryu/Ken can super cancel hadouken, Blanka can super cancel Horizontal roll etc.

Guile is my fave since SF2, and I use him the most, and trust me, many of these combos require insane timing, and sets ultimate combo pros apart from others even though some are not worth the hustle, since the more hits your combo has in SF4, the less damage it does, so sometimes I prefer to save my EX-cancels instead of linking them together.

Are you an idiot? This video isn't to showcase what would happen in a real fight.. it's to showcase the potential of combos that Guile can do in the new SF4 engine.

And alot of these combos would connect because alot of online noobs throw projectiles all day.. So the jump in+kick connections would work infinitely fine.

just because the video is a combo showcase, it doesn't mean these couldn't work in a real fight. If you have good enough reflexes and practiced all these combos to the point they were natural, you just need to connect with the first hit, and the combo is yours. Not simple for most people. but I'm guessing this guy wouldn't have much trouble doing it in a match with average players, not just 'noobs'

im guessing go down back the both D n R buttons ..then he goes foward while holding the down button(as a result a sonic boom) now you should still have the down charge..so release when ready :p...not that hard if ya play alot

it is call charge partitioning it allows you to charge a move while doing something else for example when he did that jumping fierce (hp) into a crouching fierce to a ex flash kick at(00:48) to ken he landed this was because when he was jumping in with the fierce (hp) in the air he was holding down then while still holding down he went into a crouching fierce (hp) by then because he held down all that time he was able to go right into the ex flash kick no problem .
