  • my name si Zoran,hehe

  • "don't tell me this is happening...it's happening!" that sounds just like me!

  • "Tell me this isn't happening!"

    *Clang!*

    "It happened!"

  • @crazyracer12

    "You did WHAT!?"

  • @MarioSonic2010 "It was an accident! Honest! D8"

  • @crazyracer12

"I don't want to hear any of your excuses! I gave you a job to do and you let the Zero Fleet down!"

  • this is so worst i mean america ruined this but i live in america but this is unexepteble

  • theadore tugboat would laugh at this and that song that zug sings omy gosh shut the fuck up

  • scott mcneil is one funny dude

  • In this episode, Zorran & Zug are voiced by Kirby Morrow, while boomer's voiced by Brad Swaile.

  • @23456789Alexis Nope, that's Scott Mcneil's voice.

  • this looks kinda like Theodore Tugboat...is there any relation?

  • @heatherwright24 Yeah, both shows were made by Robert Cadonna.

  • WTF!

    Zip sounds like Spongebob Squarepants

  • @Dooby1986 Hell no! Thats Scott Mcneil! XD

  • Not a lot of people know this, but it was Long

John Baldry (Dr. Robotnik) who voiced Top Hat and Zorran in Salty's Lighthouse.

  • Zug is so hysterical in this episode!

  • I really don't like how Zorran in this series isn't a complete jerk. Come on, Zorran was meant to be unpleasant, so why is he all remorseful and sorry in this?

  • I guess, in the American System, we don't really have strong antagonistic characters.

  • Zorran was still a real douche in this version too. You should see him in some of the other episodes.

  • zugs voice is weird and is zorran the lead tug?

  • In this series it is.

  • I like Zug's voice

  • Scott McNeil is very suiting to Zug's voice as well as Zorran's.

  • @EliJBrown me too

  • @EliJBrown That's Scott McNeil doing his voice. He played Zorran's, too. A very versitile voice actor, isn't he?

  • Boomer sounds like Zug

  • Forget PRRRRRRROMOTION! If anyone's seen the infamous movie producer episode, Zorran describes himself as BRRRRRRRAVE!

  • Good man!

I never could understand the American need to butcher up good British TV shows. If you compare early US Thomas episodes to the British ones, you can hear a noticeable difference in the US.

It's like God forbid anyone should be offended or poked at in America.

  • This was pretty bad. I remember seeing this dubbed version when I was little, but seeing it again, I think it''s pretty bad compared to the original. I mean, why did Captain Star and Sunshine have to be chicks?

  • I guess because of sexism complaints and come on! Since when is Sunshine a boy's name?

  • Well, I figured it was the name, but they all have irregular names. And besides, the captain couldn't be a woman because it's the 20's. Women weren't allowed to do much of anything back then.

  • Well SL is meant to take place in current days not the 20's...... Really though if you know your architecture, all the buildings are 20's era plus how old the TUGS designs are.

  • Yeah, I figured that out actually, so it does kinda make sense, but they still look like 20s era tugboats, as do the buildings, and if that wasn't enough, they still run on steam power, but they say that they run on diesel fuel, so it's one big paradox.

  • Did you know that the guy who did the voice for Ten Cents, also did Goku and Master Roshi in the 1996?

  • for Ocean Dub or Funimation dub?

  • Ocean Dub

  • Is Zip Male or Female for this one. I knows it's male for the real Tugs show but what about this show?

  • This isn't THAT bad, but I prefer TUGS, the original version better.

  • Agreed

  • "IT COULD HAPPEN TO ANYONE."

  • bit uneven is it?

  • It was made entirely of stock footage

  • WTF!! (Gasp) British TUGS, I NEED BRITISH TUGS!!! IM DYING!

  • OK, I'm over reacting, but this isn't good.

  • It's funny in an idiotic kind of way, though.

  • listen to the music at 0:31 to 0:31 it sounds thomas music.

  • the music was done by the guys who did the thomas music

  • until about 3 or 4 years ago I was unaware that salty's light house was an adaption of another show. I remember watching it when I was about 6 and I thought it was great then I found out it was a redub of tugs

  • just so you all know the guy who voiced top hat hercules and stanley/chooch was Long John Baldry The Same Guy Who voiced robotnik in the adventures of sonic he hedgehog

  • um there was this kid show that used to come on TLC called Nini's Treehouse and I was wondering if you could get any episodes of it and post them or least the intro or something

  • JASON TEN CENTS!!!!!

  • When I first saw this when I was young,I didn't know this was the sister show to "Thomas" and even the regular show "TUGS" still doesn't feel like it's "Thomas"(despite they're tugboats).

  • nither did i when i frist saw this as well.

  • yeah same here

  • I think the reason it doesn't feel like Thomas is because in Tugs every character had their own voice and the music used in the episodes don't sound similar to the music used in Thomas.

  • I'll agree with you on the first thing, but compare the music in the original TUGS to TTTE Season 3 and 4. You'll hear a striking similarity.

After all, Junior Campbell and Mike O' Donnel did compose the msuic for TUGS, too.

  • Now that you mention it, I agree, the music is similar. I think I heard a rumor recently that they want to give Thomas the Tank engine voice actors instead of just a narrator. Thomas becoming a CGI was bad enough, but they just keep making it worse.

  • Once again, I can agree the CGI and moving faces is bad, but I really like the idea of multiple character voices.

Perhaps if you find some Japanese episodes of Thomas you might see what I mean?

  • I heard that the Japanese dub used different voices. The only time different voices were used in an English version was in "Thomas and the Magic Railroad" which was a bad movie only because the executives made so many cuts that part of the plot was lost. There's a rumor about a directors cut for that movie.

  • i think it's silly to use stock footage for everything in this

  • Is it just me or does Zorran sound like Dinobot from Beast Wars?

  • That's because Scott Mcneil did the voice of both of them!

  • Zug sorta sounds a bit like his original voice, and Zorran just sounds like Robotnik :P

  • This is rubbish it just wrecked tugs for me lol nahh but this is crap compared n ten cents with his american voice n shit lol

  • I liked the tugboat scenes, but I hated the parts with salty.

  • Same with me! Regardless if it screwed up Thomas' Sister Series, it was more interesting than the childish Cartoon!

  • I say that the show should have either run more like Shining Time Station with the actual episodes, or created it's own tugboat characters instead of redesigning a classic show into a load of rubbish!

  • simply rubbish indeed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Zorran has the voice best suited for a fat pig like villain in a 1980s cartoon.

  • The only way Zorran would ever turn nice is if a huge rock fell on his head making him lose his memory.

  • Zip sounds a bit feminine, Boomer sounds too much like Zug, and the tramper getting stuck storyline has really been watered down by just instantly coming free!

  • There was actually another episode with Boomer, but he had a different voice actor. idk why though. TLC raped this show with crap storylines.

  • I think I saw part of that episode when I was young. (It aired in Britain as well). In that one, Boomer's voice was very much like his old Irish voice. I eould often talk over clips from Jinxed, Quarantine, and Up River (the only episodes I had on video) with the original dialouge.

  • I AM A MIGHTY SAILBOAT RIDIN THE WIND!!!

Uh...okay, I'm NOT a mighty sailboat ridin the wind! lol

  • zug doesnt sound much different, but zip sounds like hes been using helium

  • argh, why have they completely changed it?! the z-stacks are not meant to learn lessons!

  • I know! They're meant to be tough, sly, evil and cunning boats! In the original show, Zorran would NEVER compliment and reassure Zug! He would more likely insult him!

  • Nostalgia's kickin' in!!

  • I like Scott McNeil and all, but SL really sucked.

  • Hey it couldve been worse! There were several rumors spouting about that Grampus was Female, Zip was called Ziggy and Lillie became Mrs. Dempsey those were all lies!

  • I remember when this show aired in Britain, part of one episode I watched had the she-Cptn Star asking Ten Cents and the she-Sunshine to taking something out to Lillie Lightship, so I remember her name wasn't changed, but I didn't see any with Grampus. I've now done a solo redub of the Johnny Cuba scene you posted using iMovie.

  • Zug's american voice sounds similar to his british voice.

  • I'm suprised when Thomas the Tank Engine was on Shining Time, it was released on VHS by itself, but it didn't happen with TUGS in America.

  • Man, Tugs is very different in Salty's Lighthouse.

  • I wonder who came up with this?

  • yeah ZORRAN gave ZUG a compliment thatll be the day

  • wooow

  • FUN FACT: Ten Cents is voiced by Ian James Corlett the guy who does the voice of Goku!!! :D Pretty awesome...not as good as the cockney Simon Nash though.

  • I think his voice suits Ten Cents! If they ever properly introduce Tugs to America I hope they use him as Ten Cents! Hes a Hella good Voice Actor!

  • And Scott Mcneil as Zug and Zorran. He's a legend.

  • I aswell think French Tickner did a good Captain Zero!

  • He also voiced Coconuts in the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, whilst the late Long John Baldry (who voiced Robotnik) is the voice of Top Hat! (Although he isn't doing his "Rrrrrrrrrobotnik" voice sadly!)

  • For SL he also voiced Hercules and Puffa (Stanley/Chooch)

  • Ian James Corlett was also known for playing Funshine Bear from "Care Bears: Adventures in Care-a-Lot",which also had Samuel Vincent, who played Edd from "Ed,Edd,and Eddy" and Tracey Moore, who played Princess Toadstool from those "Super Mario" cartoons.

  • Another link from Sl to EENE is that Terry Klassen voice of Zak in the series is a voice director in Ed, Edd n Eddy

  • Wow, for playing three roles, he definitely deserves a PRRRRRRRRRRROMOTION!!!!!!

  • 4 roles deserves an even bigger PRRRRRRRRRRROMTION!!!! He also did Top Hat.

  • Also Michael Donovan (voice of Wes Weasly in AoStH) did the voice for Warrior

  • Somebody should totally do a Thomas/Salty's Lighthouse(TUGS) parody with this! Even if Sunshine's a girl, Percy should still be her.

  • I worked on this one for a Parody! With the usual cast I use for my Thomas/Tugs Parodies!

  • BTW the Fat Controller would be one unatractive Female for this XD

  • Use Miss Jenny then.

  • Comment removed

  • And Long John Baldry, aka Rrrrobotnik, played Puffa, or as he was called Stanley! For that I think he deserved a prrrrrrrrrrrromotion!

  • Comment removed

  • Apparently Scott McNeil, who voices Zorran, Zug and Boomer also did voices on Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog.

  • Goku?! With dub? The FUNimation one, the Blue Water dub? Or the Ocean Group? But if you can't tell, that's okay.

  • FUNimation.

  • @Headbanger142 who is goku?

  • @captainofthetitanic From Dragonball Z.

  • It's not like Zorran to compliment Zug. He would insult him in the UK version.

  • He did a good job for Zorran and Zug's voices though didn't he? I thought he did. Zorran sounds awesome.

Remember, SL might be a mess, but it still had a lot of good voice actors doing roles.

  • I don't really like Boomers voice in the USA dub. He sounds like Zug.

  • The original British version was MUCH better!

  • You're damn right!

  • Definately, since I first seen Salty's Lighthouse, I thought Sunbow Entertainment made the TUGS back then & they repeated & edited the scenes!!!! But now I seen TUGS, I'm starting to think it is better than SL!!!

  • Thats exactly what I thought until finding a Tugs video at a rummage sale after I moved to the UK in 2004

  • I got to agree with you, perhaps the same actor who voiced Zug also voiced Boomer, maybe.

  • Yeah the Difference though is Boomer is voiced by Brad Swaile, Zug is voiced by Scott McNeil (or Kirby Morrow depending on which episode!)

  • And the original version Lee Cornes did Boomer, while Zug was played by Mike Mulloy.

  • actually what i heard on one of my videos on another episode that stars boomber his voice was older & nicer like he was a teenager
