Wendy got it, the audience got it, I got it and probably the majority of viewers go it. David is very young, completely unfamiliar with Steven Tyler, and mistook him for "that other girl." He attempted a good save when he realized he'd stepped into it. But JLo has had this light brown hair color for ages now, she is recognizable. David is not the world's only person who thinks Tyler looks like a chick. There is no way that Tyler isn't aware of the confusion, but maybe he likes it.

He was talking about JLo just before the picture went up and did not recognize JLo in the picture of judges. She really has changed her look. Wendy was the one who thought Archie was talking about Tyler. Still very funny though.
