I live in America and went to Holland to meet up with my sweetie, he is from Rotterdam... very lovely place and one day it will be home to me! I love the beautiful bridge and all the sites that I got to see. I even rode in the boat taxi, not ever a boat taxi in America. Can't wait to go back to the Netherlands! Friendliest people I have ever met never once felt like a tourist or outsider!!

.the last time when i was in Rotterdam was back in 2000, i'm impress how the city had changed, beautiul new buildings and even a higher skyline, this guy who said this city lacks of chicness it totally wrong, the city itself it a big modern museum, even a real picasso in the street yeah in the street.

@truecrime80 Rotterdam has a larger population then Miami or Washington, so it's not that small. Besides that, Rotterdam region counts 1.2 million people and The Hague is very near by. So there is a market. That combined with the big harbour and good infrastructure to Antwerp and Germany, it's attactive for large companies.

@truecrime80 you're right if you include the suburbs, but the city itself has around 600.000 people. You can check wikipedia. Miami only have 433.000 people. But their skyline is possible because they also have large suburbes. The same is the case for Rotterdam. With the difference that their suburbs are bigger then here.

also a very weird thing I experienced in rotterdam is that on summers nights , you really cant see too many people outside , and your women suck big time to be honest..you have no beauty at all , whats up with that , Ive seen thousands and thousands of ur girls , not one looked descent enough , face , body , clothes , if she had good clothes on then she doesnt look good overall because her body is too tall or skinny or vice versa , its ridiculous,I was shocked , that ur streets are empty by 11p

I expected a serious city , not circus full of ugly unbalanced weird acrhitecture...l was shocked to see how dead the city really is...l was shocked to not see any sort of beauty at all...men women look horrible and dress terrible ...the city lacks hig profile shops & stores & supermarkets except the media markt in the city center , crappy food , really tasteless restaurants , plenty of shitty small cars , small houses in the suburbs , artificial feeling in general .

@MrAguafiesta You are right, it's not like Amsterdam. You will only love Rotterdam if you would live there, get to know the city and the right places. So that's why it's not (yet) very touristic. Also because the old centre has been bombed by the Germans offcourse, so very less old buildings.

no , ridiculous , its just the way you build things , they are new and modern but at the same time very boxy , dark and very unpleasent to look at. there is no seriousness in your buildings , you can find really old boxy and out of date apartment buildings in r'dam in the city center while in frankfurt you just cant , its like architects in rotterdam live in past and dont have a sense for 'nice and modern'. get it?

That city was just astonishingly magic !! Yesterday we had to leave but I'd prefer to stay there couple of more days. Strongly recomended to rent a bike for a day or two and just discover it arround !!
