I bet it was those days that it didn't matter if you lied about your age or whether you smoked on stage during a live taping. Why did I have to be a 90's girl when I should've been a 50's girl sad
She was 18 years old at the time and only 15 when she married Xavier Cugat who was 51 years her senior pretty sick to think a 15 year old claiming to be 18 and 20 marry a 66 year old who admits to being only 60 @HearYeRocknRoll
The African-American man in the French Fried Potato Crisp commerical looks like Johnny Brown (AKA Bookman on "Good Times"), and I think the little red haired girl looks a lot like Suzanne Crough (Tracy on "The Partridge Family, who would later join Dave Madden on the show in 1970).
@Jaybird1103 No, I don't think the little girl is Crough...she looks older than her at this point, a year before THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY. But I didn't know Madden did stand-up--I just thought his comedy was in acting, either a role like Reuben Kinkade, or the LAUGH-IN type of skits, one-liners and non sequitors.

I can't believe she married Xavier Cugat when she was only 15 and he was only 66 he sounded old enough to be her grandfather

This clip contains my all-time favorite Charo performance from :18 to 4:00. She really can play that guitar.

She looks more 28 than 18 to me. I think maybe she lied about her age.

That WAS Bookman in the commercial, but Barbara Eden was the first face. Nice to see Charo display her talent and save the coochie for last.
