Subaru Impreza STi Spec-C chasing Ferrari F430 in Sepang

The Subaru is only fractionally slower than the f430 around the nurburgring, a track which greatly favours the top speed advantage for the f430. To say the ferrari was toying with the subaru driver is speaking out of ignorance, a modestly tuned sti will have little to no problem keeping up with a stock f430.

The Spec C is a JDM model with equal length headers, hence it does not sound like most other Subarus with unequal length header which creates the distinctive Subaru burble. Added to that the twin scroll high revving turbo in a straight through exhaust, gives an almost superbike howl.

The F430 IMO was not giving half throttle, he can clearly be seen to pull away on the long straights but the Spec C makes up ground into the corners.

it doesnt sound like a subaru cause the exhaust has been modified but whats more surprising is the ferrari which doesn't sound at all like one :-) as i said the F430 is toying around with the subaru so it could be on 1/2 throttle only...

It is modefied and sounds like an equal length header, which will add HP but at the cost of the typical subaru rumble.
