  • I want a dog like that :( dog are to loyal. So loyal, they r a men best friend 

  • i always cry during this video

  • They tried to keep him but he kept breaking loose and going to the train station. I guess she moved and felt since that's where Hachi's heart was (the train station), that she left him. There were lots of people that fed him. It wasn't until 4/2011 that they (scientists) came to an agreement as to why Hachi died. Google it. It wasn't the skewers in his stomach...he had heart worms and other ailments. I cried like a baby when I saw this movie. It left a paw print on my heart.

  • I would love to see this version of the movie

  • Oh Hachi, I want to hug you :'(

  • i have this book called dog heroes and it tells about this. sooo touching. why cant people see animals and dogs and puppies this way? meaning they are very good and deserve better

  • this is a wonderful movie both inspirational and wicked sad. I seldom wath any movie with a dog in it. I will never forget as a child watching Old Yeller. Ive always had dogs and can't imagine living without a dog. This story has stayed with me for months now. I still cry when I think about the movie.

  • People just look around . May be near to you on your street lives dog like Hachiko ...

  • when i saw his eyes i started cry

  • i was so inspired by this dog. :')

  • i had a bigger size pail for my tears while watching this movie ' :'(

  • Hachiko has used his entire life to commemorate his love one, waiting faithfully in all those years to see his dead master as if he understands eternity. On the contrast, we are seeing human throwing an expensive party for weddings but the partnership can not even survive for 5 years. We human is the scum of the whole creation!

  • WHAT A LEGEND I WOULD PAY 1 million for this dog

  • was the name of the movie? the american version?

  • @elgordotito1988

    Hachiko a dogs tale

  • Here I wait, oh my friend you are late.

No matter what, here I will stay.

The cold, rain and heat return again, no matter my friend here I will wait.

Night becomes day, days become years, but it is no matter for here I will stay.

I will wait my friend, just to walk beside you one more day

  • I have a had a hard life and I am an insensitive jerk about everything. I don't feel sorry for anyone or ever get emotional. But this made my eyes water up, its so sad, the dog wasted his entire life waiting for his friend but he couldn't understand he was dead :(

  • @3DSiXLite Or maybe he understood, and chose to dedicate his life to that love of his owner. Wither way I agree, I don't tear up over nothing. But this just gets me every time.

  • Such a great movie! I watched it last night and I cried my eyes out! Dogs are truly a man's best friend!! Wish my dog was like that! LOL

  • I have both versions, I think the American version is much better, it also has that more familiar Disney Ole Yeller feel to it. A real winner of a film for sure.

  • i love him the movie made me cry I'm going to see the statue in Japan I bet I'll cry

  • i had a dog like Hatchiko.. her name was "Kulit" she was always with my mom to fetch me after school when i was in elementary, she knows where my classroom is, and always going there.. she used to go to market with us every afternoon, thats why whenever she cant find us in our home, she would go directly in market... some vendors would tell us that they saw our dog there, looking for us... She passed away at aged 5... i miss her so much.

  • Damn that dog is making me cry..

  • Damn that dog is making me cry.

  • so cool sad

  • To love and be loved - like this - is the highest essence of human life. Loyalty and love beyond comprehension, yes, but not to those of us who love with this incredible intensity, reverence and passion. A beautiful video.

  • im crying :(

  • Incredible dog. No doubt Professor Ueno was an incredible man to inspire such devotion from his dog, his students and those who knew his story. Very moving.

  • Heartbreaking! I love this movie...

  • After watching this vid i gave my dog a Hug.

  • saddest thing ive ever seen :'(

  • hachiko and professor are happy in heaven

  • Hello from Serbia. This song and the American version of the movie which starred Richard Gere its beautiful.

  • Gah!! This is my first time hearing about Hachiko and just watching the trailer made me cry! Let me be the first one to say it takes a lot to make that happen! Peace and Happiness to Hachiko and all other dogs who continue to touch the lives of humans everywhere :) Rest in Peace Rocky...my Hachiko

  • i cry like a insane man when i watch this video.this is so sad for me.

  • We human can learn so much from animals. Everytime I watch this , I can not help to be tearful,I just want hold him and give him the love he give him to his master I am deep moved by Hachi.his pure love , true heart, loyalty , devotion without saying a word , He show his action the most greatest love. I wonder why we can not be more like him? Sometimes we say too much and want more for selfish reasons. Hachi's love is the most beautiful love Hachi will always be rememerbed forever

    Yiling

  • this vid made me apreciate my dog :'''''((((

  • I just sob when I watch this, its beautiful and totally heartbreaking at the same time. Love dogs, reminds me of mine some time ago now, she used to wait by the door for me to get home from work, and if I was late she would still be sat there til I did come home. Aww my heart x

  • @MandyLionWWIII That's Tagalog. I don't understand what you said. Nice vid tho

  • @aquinoMMjoanna panoorin mo sa zmovie.tv yung lay richard gerre

  • at :45 is he bleeding on his face and if so what happend? That didnt happen in the newer version..

  • I saw the American version of the movie which starred Richard Gere. Both times that I saw it, I cried like crazy. I could not understand why the wife would never allow the dog (even as a puppy) inside the house. When she met up with Hachi nearly 10 years later at the train station and saw that he was aged, why didn't she take him home? This happens to be a story that I can't get out of my mind. Humans can learn plenty about love and loyalty from animals. I love you, Hachi.

  • @jerylmoll

I agree with what you are saying about the wife. I guess other than the professor no one loved Hachi the way he deserved to be loved.

    In fact...

Other people tried to adopt him but he would always run away and go back to the train station.

Hachi didn't want to find a new love... He gave his love only once. How special is that?

All dogs are loyal but some breeds even more than others and Hachi happens to be a very special dog from a very special breed...

  • @jerylmoll i just watched it so my memory is fresh. the wife mentioned "luke" and said it was too soon, which i took it as their old dog named luke died or went missing, and she wasn't ready to have another dog.

and hachi was only attached to richard gere character, not the wife, so it was likely that hachi would wait at the train station no matter what.

  • @jerylmoll because she know that hachi want to wait for his master.

  • @jerylmoll it because she know that hachi want to wait for his master.

  • @jerylmoll because she know that hachi want to wait for his master

  • @jerylmoll

The AMerican version sucked totally dont you think? I was bored solid throughout it.

  • Only if humans were that loyal

  • Seriously, could nobody take the dog in and provide him a home?

  • @muta157 they did... but he broke out all the time, just to go over to the station and wait...

  • Just watching the trailer plus the nice music were making me cry already, I can't imagine if I watch the whole movie. A have a shiba inu, and in general I know how strong can be the bond between the dog and owner.

  • when i grow up im going to japan to see the monument . i love dogs =)

  • so sad and lonely watching hachiko wait in his entire life. They are together already. Its a very long time before hachiko reunites with his master. cried watching the entire movie. I could feel his pain and loneliness. :( such an undying love and loyalty.

  • ohhhh :'(

I cried for this movie ..

  • Ahhh it's so sad! I'd seen the new remake that have out and I recently ordered the original since I've figured out how to watch it on my laptop. This is such a touching story and I think everyone should watch this movie to understand just how much love an animal can give.

  • I've seen the movie that shows what happens the movie is called ( Hatchi and dogs tale ) it's really sad at the end

  • the dog is so loyal i want one too i bet they found each other already since the dog was so loyal to his master and died hoping for the return of his master heaven probably answer hachiko's wish

  • so cute dog :)

  • The story of true devotion and loyalty...

  • I hope there is a place in paradise for this dog and dogs like this.

  • Animal are very intelligent!!!!! ^.^

  • awesome choice of music mate!touching story

  • ....poor fella.....well this is the 3rd film that manage to make me cry.....but i must say...Hachiko sure is faithful

  • i cried its so sad akitas are my favorite dogs

    poor puppy :(((

  • Wow , how did the owner die and wat did he do ?

But this makes me mad cuz some ppl just want to abuse there dogs ??

And other animals and its sad

  • @0Cheerleader0Life0 The owner's death was sudden death. Probably heart attack.

  • @iDareYou998 Yes there was!! and this is a true story he died at work and hachi waited for almost ten years!

  • im crying not because this is sad but because it reminds me of my dog kino. he was my best friend since he was a puppy but my dad sold him. my only best friend gone forever. still alive today i miss him.

  • I cried.. This is really so sad. Why they didn't take care of Hachi if they know Hachi is important to Mr.Ueno & as same part to Hachi. Yeah,..if Hachi is there...they'd always remember Mr.Ueno & it's really painful. But don't they think that it's also painful to Hachi that his Master was gone. After many yrs, Hachi suffered a lot, waiting for his master..don't they realize the best thing to do is to help Hachi to recover from losing his Master. Anyways, Hachi's sufferings are over decades ago.

  • Vive tu sueño en presente y haz lo que tienes que hacer, para ti es el mensaje. When the love does not words to demostrate, only the faith joing to the eternity with you love, forever brings hope with you. you know this world will finish, it does not eternal, only the love is eternal. Live your dream in present and do your mision, for you is this message .

  • well i have to say the japanese movie was better but i still liked the richard gere flick, and yes my gir and cried like babies at the end of the movie. when i was in tokyo last year , i saw the statue of a dog in shibuya, that statue was HACHIKOand i didnt know why they had it there , it was where he used to wait for the profesor . awsome dog

  • For those who wonder if the dog in the movie is a real Akita, the answer is of course Yes. But you're thinking the dog doesn't look exactly like the Akita that you know. Well, the Akita that you're more familiar with is the American version of Akita which is bigger, wider, with a more squared head. The dog in the movie and history of course is a Japanese Akita... which is NOT a shiba.

  • @wonton00

    EXACTLY! Thank you!

  • @MandyLionWWIII Thats sad as

  • My wife and I just watched Hachiko with Richard Gere and we cried at the end. This Japanese version looks like it's even better. We would be balling like babies watching this I think. Dogs are such wonderful creature.

Quality owners usually have quality dogs...

A dog will take on many traits of the person he or she is raised by...

  • the dog are sooooooooo cute!!!!

  • i want to cry when i first saw this movie

  • I have a shiba inu and she is not particularly loyal, rather very independent like a cat. If I let her off the leash, she'll run away. Can't imagine shiba doing what akita in this story was doing. Even though they are similar looking breeds they are quite different in character, I guess.

  • is that a rly a strue story :'C ?

at least it made me cry like hell :c

  • @korgothgirl the story of "lobo" is great too ( an american wolf that took months to track down and hunt.....great story....very sad though)

  • is that a rly a strue story :'C ?

  • @korgothgirl Yes it is.

  • The American version made me cry more for some reason but I liked the Japanese version better for the real story except for the disco song at the end that was intended to pick people up after Hachiko died. This movie made me cry the most of any movie. I have some friends who will not watch this because they don't like sad movies. Kind of a shame though. I have a Shiba Inu that is so stand offish. I guess the Akita is much more loyal. I would think that they would be aloof like the Shiba though.

  • one of the most touching stories i know. i almost cry everytime i see the 1987 movie and the 2009 re-make.

  • so touching.i have a dog also,he have 3 legs now because he was hitted by a truck.i dont know what to do that time.i have 2 choices,to let him die or take him to the hospital even if i dont have money but he still alive?i chose the second choice,i want him to live even if i know that he just can have 3 legs.now..everytime i am not at home he is crying and waiting for me.i nurse him when he is injured.play with him, feed him, bating him, treating him like my son/daughter.many people callin me weird.

  • This is why MAN should seriously NOT get married. I was married many years ago and my ex-wife (whore) wanted to take me for everything in the divorce. She got nothing and was extremely angry. Well, I have my own house and I have been through two dogs that I rescued from shelters. My third dog now has been just like the others - FAITHFUL, LOYAL, always HAPPY to see me and ALWAYS listens to me - even when I have nothing important to say.

  • Love this movie . and love Hachikoo .. x(
