Goliath Grouper - so close

You can't keep these fish anyway. There's a ban on any harvesting of Goliath Grouper anywhere in the U.S. It is lawful to catch them though, but you cannot bring them onto a boat to where the fish's weight may be pressing down on it's vital organs. You can't drag the big fish over the side of a boat as it may injure it. If you take a photo of it, is has to be while it's still in the water. This species was almost fished into extinction that's why they're so strict and they should be.

i caught one last week with stingray as bait...... my god, fought with it for 5 hours in the ocean..... when we brought it up, it weighed 465KG's man what a fish....

we cut it up and shared with the local tribe members.....

you can catch jewfish anywhere you go on the coastline. even sometimes on sandbottom
