  • Of all mustangs demo, this is my favorite.

  • musica linda

  • That guitar is pure Fender. And, that's high praise coming from a bassist!

  • gonna love this guitar demo.

  • It sounds like the melody of a cheap Videogame :D

  • very cool

  • Awsome! Great gear, great composition.

    thanks for posting

  • Excellent! I loved the gear tones and the composition itself..

    Thanks for posting!

  • whats the difference between the mustangs pickups and a strats

  • is it a original 1965?? iv got this guitar in the same colour.too it`s a original guitar from 1965.too its a amzing guitar:)

    I`m 13

sorry for mistakes I`m from germany:)

  • hey great original i'm diggin the old school rock n roll vibe you got goin on, i wish i had a mustang with that "shimmering" tone, too bad there almost 1k now.

  • Come si chiama questa canzone? vorrei le tabs

  • @RuggieroNicola lo dice nella descrizione, è una sua composizione dei tempi della scuola.

  • congratulations on having a great sense of melody. got everything the shredders lack.

  • it sounds like a mariobros song

  • hehe i love this vid, so easy going on one hell of a beautiful guitar.

  • that was the best video i've ever seen ever ever and i want to be your son, from corey

  • nice playn dud!!!

Im thinkin of to buy one of these

does it match great to my vox ac 15 h1tv?

sry for my english im german

  • the drum roll at the beginning had me worried I was rick rolled!

  • i hate the garage band effects myself

  • sounds like music from a japanese supermarket.

    Great job though, fine playing

  • @JonnyCapricorn yeah seems like they love that kinda music.))

  • Hi OzzieOF !!

    Just great !!! Regards,

    Nathan M.

  • Nice song. Good composition you made.

  • That's a beautiful guitar, you're so fucking lucky.

  • im thinking of buying an all original 1976 mustang (with original case and manual) for 500 euros. There is a little rust on the bridge. err is this a good deal?

  • It's a fair price. Not a really good deal though.

  • yeah shouldn't affect if it bothers you you could sand it with very thin sand paper :P

  • great style of playing.

  • this is great!

  • i have a 69 Mustang and its my best friend.

  • @spwb2k lol)

  • I have a Mustang, built in March '64 (pre-CBS), all original except for Grover tuners. Are these worth more than the re-issues?

  • No, definitely not. Don't be silly. Please sell it to me right now. I beg you.

  • I would, but I promised it to my son. Maybe if he wants to sell it, that would be up to him.

  • While I wasn't kidding about buying it, I was kidding about them not being worth more than reissues. I'm a huge mustang fan, and I don't even own a reissue. When you do sell it though, realise you're sitting on a gold mine with that guitar. I'd give my only guitar - a Gibson Les Paul Studio, quite some money and my left nut for it. Pre-CBS guitars are always worth a lot. Take good care of it. :)

  • Thanks for the suggestion, Pavlov. I'm not a collector. I've only heard others mention that the pre-CBS are more valuable. And I do take good care of it. It's tucked away in a metal, hard shell case. The Original Case that came with it was taken by my late brother for some stupid reason or other. I n longer have it. Those Original Cases were well-made, I'll say. Very sturdy. Thanks again, TF.

  • DUDE!!!! thats like asking if the ball used in the superbowl is worth more than one you would buy at walmart!!!!

  • Ha! You make a good point with the Superbowl vs Walmart analogy. I noticed the one featured in this video has a new neck. It looks like an ebony fretboard. Mine has the rosewood. I don't believe I've ever seen a Mustang of any year that has a Maple fretboard.

  • what color would the maple one be?

  • It's a light colour, not the dark of rosewood etc.

  • great guitar and great playing

  • wow. that is a nice guitar. I love the sound and the song :D

  • hey is 1500$ a good price for a mint condition 65 mustang?

  • yes

  • I have a Fender Mustang 65' and i was wondering how come lots of people put tape over the two switches at the top of the guitar? thanks

  • I have a Mustang and I put in Seymour Duncan Antiquity Mustang pickups. It sounds SO good now

  • Really nice sounding song on an absolutely beautiful guitar.

  • beautiful song!

sounds like something of of Mario Bros. cool.

and your guitar is awesome.always wanted a stang'

  • it sounds like it would be good for skanking. is it?

  • Of course. Really great chunky sound, with the original Fender twang.

  • thanks man. this guitar seems really versatile. i've heard that the pickups usually should be changed. any suggestions?

  • I have heard this too. There are some called Kinman pickups (I hear good things) - wound the traditional way but eliminate some noise inherent in the originals. I can agree that there is slight noise with the Mustang but then I really like the pure old Fender sound. And its not that prominent. Bought a Strat and found it was even noisier and intruded on the quieter sections of performance. For very quiet accompaniment some Strats might be an issue. No such problem with the Mustang.

  • your playing and tone is great and very tasteful. i just bought a 66 mustang. i can't wait to pick it up!

  • I have a fender mustang bass original 60th or 70th i dont know the SN is 539093 could i change it for a stratocaster classic ? and could any person sayd me the year? thanks

  • Do you have tabs for that?

  • Cobain had a Jagstang, a mustang and a jaguar mixed into one guitar.

  • nah dude he wasnt even alive when it was created, he thought of the design but it came out in 1996 i think, he just had a mustang

  • hey toured with a sonic blue jag stang on the in utero tour. seldom used though

  • as sultan said, cobain didn't play a jag-stang, he just designed it. i have a jag-stang and love it, but cobain played a mustang mostly. too bad he never got to see this (a jagstang) great guitar come to life, cuz it's a great guitar that's a blast to play

  • Lord, that tone is amazing.

You are very lucky to have your hands on that gem.

  • are there any pre-cbs mustangs? or did cbs come up with them?

  • The Mustang was introduced in '64. The sale to CBS was '65. So, yes, there are indeed pre-CBS Mustangs :)

  • ok thanks.

  • Where do you get the bass and drums background tracks?

  • The bass is a short neck 4 string Casino that I recorded earlier into a separate track in Garageband, along with the rhythm guitar and a chord riff. The drums are based on a Garageband loop but edited with piano roll to suit the music. I started with the drums & rhythm tracks to provide a solid metronome to anchor the timing for each instrument being recorded. When I played the lead I used several guitar sound effects that were switched to change the tone and impact for each part.

  • You're very good.

  • wow this guy can realy play!

  • I really dig the piece. It has a nice hook that gets stuck in your head.

Apart from that: what a guitar!

  • love that guitar, i have one, kobain had one

  • Cobain*

  • Kurt Cobain*

  • Kurt Donald Cobain*

  • Kurt Donald Cobain* BORN: February 20, 67

    DIED: April 5, 94

  • Kurt is such a legend

  • Yes he is man yes he is.

  • Cobain had a C

  • wow, how many years have you been playing?

  • Played in school (hence this song created) then not for a while. Started again about 6 years ago.

  • got the same mustang i love it probably getting a strat though soon nothing can beat strats

  • i like this style of guitar playing , is it sort of 50's swing?

  • That is a great sounding Mustang. :)

  • Does anyone know the dimensions of the pickguard cavity? I am trying to put in Tv jones pickups standing at 1 3/8 by 2 13/16

  • ?? You've got me there. What does that mean?

  • disregard it, hes an idiot

  • The guitar came in 3 colours: Olympic white, Daphne blue and Dakota red, which is the one I have. My Dad bought it used for $100 in 1976 (it was manufactured on May 8, 1965). Very cool guitar with natural wear and still in great shape. I saw a reissue recently and it freaked me out to see it in new condition without a scratch on it.

  • awesome guitar!!

  • Im getting this axe in a few weeks. Im getting a white color with that same pickguard. although i assume yours was white once which is now an aged yellow? oh and im getting mine for grunge

  • i savin up this summer to get one for the same reason. I am gettin a new one tho not a vintage. Cool thing about this guitar is that it can play it all.

  • AWESOME VIDEO.

    Already added to my favorites.

  • is everything on this guitar stock? or is it customized, cuz i havnt realy heard one that isnt, and i want to get one

  • Nothing has ever been changed. The original white is now a aged yellow and all of the chrome work is original and in fine condition. Best thing is the neck and action which are the best of any of my guitars.

  • cool thanks

  • How old are you?!

  • A Fender mustang, and sweet vintage vox, and......a friggin' zoom multi effects box? Are you out of your mind?

  • Love the warm slightly fuzzy tone you get from a Mustang. There's nothing else like it. I love these guitars. They're just so much fun. Pity they're so prone to detuning themselves.

  • ..THEE best solo on a Mustang I've heard here so far, great sound & great song! Hope you'll post some more tunes soon..

  • great XD

  • What is an XD?

  • it's a smiley face

  • LOL, this is like....fifties sounding. i rather like it.

  • Hah hah, cause this guy was twenty in the fifties, XD is used to show laughter, also written xD, it's like a sideways face, lean your head to the left.

  • Delightful.

  • dude are you selling yours?

  • Sweeeet tone Bro!.....funny thing, I am JUST getting ready to roll down to Guitar Center to buy a new/old Mustang in Daphne Blue.

Can't wait to bring it home and plug it into my 1970 Vibro Champ amp.

    Keep up the great playing!!

  • i hate u =l

    i want a mustang so

    bad! u.u i was gonna

    buy one from guitar center

    but couldnt afford it -.-

i want the 3 tone starburst or bust or watever...

  • grow up, kid!

  • grow up kid??

    wtf was that stupid?? xD

    dumb shit like u shouldnt

    exist...get lost idiot -.-

  • well, i´m just tired of those Nirvana-Cobain-Mustang-Kids...

  • n im tired of

    those Nirvana-Cobain-Mustang-hater kids...

  • i´m nota hater,i liked nirvana once, i even own a Mustang and this socalled "cobain-gear" by myself (polychorus, small clone etc etc) but there is so much better music out there than nirvana nirvana nirvana...

  • well i know theres better music out there for everyone else but turns out that not all of us like the same things u like xD so yeah...i love nirvana but thats not the only band for me...caifanes r or were the shit but i doubt u know them...

  • i agree. yea nirvana is all good and all but come on ...your not gonna get anywhere playing that shit ...its all good but if you wanna get better in guitar its not about what kurt had ...just create your own unique sound that is the best part of jamming ...i am all in love with alice in chains but im not all over jerry's dick trying to be like him im creating my own sound

  • this is punk rock music at its best but people call it surf music now.

  • new-$700,used-$400-$550,vintage-$1,500.

  • 700,00 US$ for a brand new 65 reissue.

  • ye john frusciante owns a fender mustang, Kurt cobain owned many mustangs. jimi page is different he wasn't much of a fender guy he used a telecaster here and there but he was a gibson sg/ les paul kind of guy. Gibson humbuckers give you a thick full sound, were the single coils of a the mustang give you that twangy sound.

but i still prefer my 1969 fender mustang competition.

hay ozzieof you think you can tab this?

  • I do it all by ear.

  • jimmy page recorded MOST of his songs on a tele, and preformed live with gibsons alot. if u listen to alot of the songs on albums, you can tell alot are played on telecasters.

  • is thtis good at songs by led zeppelin, red hot chili peppers, and other rock?

  • this is a really cool riff, nice soloing too. I really would like to know how to play it. You think you can TAB it? it would be great if you could.

  • what kind of music is a mustang good at playing?

  • punk, alternative, indie, grunge, even surf if you like. very versatile.

  • sound pretty nice

  • tasty!

  • yea , jaguar best ever.

  • this...isnt...a...jaguar...lol.

  • Fender Mustang: Best guitar in existance.

  • Without a doubt. Played by one of the greatest ever. Rest in Peace Kurt.

    This thing is beautiful

  • I just bought the same exact Mustang at a garage sale for 450 (only it's not original paint). :)

  • That's an extreamly good deal if the only non-original thing is the paint. Good Job.

  • i highly doubt the paint is the only non orig part...im sure the pick up is modern too.

  • This Mustang is the real deal and in completely untouched condition with the original case. :-)

And the frets are lower than the models today, so its a dream to play.

  • A lot of "Olympic white" mustangs fade over time to a yellow. Is that what happened here.. or did you paint? Either way.. nice sound man.

  • It is the original clean white that has faded over the years, and I suspect suffered from the earlier days of smoke-filled bars. Under the pick guard it's original.

  • Cool music! )

  • I like it!

  • sounds like christmas in california lol

  • its beattle music u dork

  • Umm, no it isn't.

  • ahhahahahhahahhahahaha!!!!!!

  • I really like your playing

  • hmm,kinda like a surf/jazz/blues mix?very nice,lovely guitar too.

  • Dude, makes me very sad I had to sell my white Mustang several years ago to raise some fundage. I think it was the same one, from the looks of yours. Mine was a bit banged up on the body, but oh, that nice tone !

  • awesome song, awesome sound. thanks a bunch for uploading!

  • what effects/amp are you using? thanks!

  • Its a combination of a Zoom effects box and the sounds from GarageBand that are being switched for me. In GarageBand I use a DreamyShimmer and a BritishClean sound as the base and added things from there. But the Fender twang still comes through. Hope that helps.

  • Hey we might give you a recording contract! Great tone from that classic gear. I think the end needs some works as it leaves you up in the air. I like your playing style also.

  • awesome vintage guitar

    and you play fucking well!
