I live on Kit Carson. I had to walk to work a couple times. That main stoplight is a long light and I see alot of people run a red light because they are in a hurry, its red and they don't want to wait for it to turn green.

Taos attracts lots of tourism, especially through that narrow two lane street due to the resort there and commute to Taos canyon. That road needs to be widend somehow. Maybe use some of the money generated by the tourism.

good job. how about a STOPLIGHT at the top of the hill and /or the bottom. properly timed stoplights will slow traffic. prosecute DWI. impound vehicles. unfortunately, "voluntary compliance" only works with those who are inclined to comply.
