GUYS I HAVE A SOLUTION!!!!!!!!!!! THIS ONLY WORKS IF YOUR STARTUP PROGRAM DOESN'T SHOW UP!!!!! SO GO START AND TYPE RUN ON THE SEARCH BAR, TYPE THIS ON RUN!!!

AND THEN PRESS THE GENERAL TAB AND THEN PRESS NORMAL STARTUP!!!! THUMBS UP SO EVERYONE SEE THIS!!!!

I have this problem when I try to restore a program I uninstalled and by doing so

It won't let me connect to the Internet and i check for the problem an it tells me that I have to install the program I uninstalled but in order for me to install that program I need to get online but I can't since it won't let me an I've tried restoring it but it gives me that an unexpected error occurred and that I should undo the system restore. Please help.

if anyone else is having this problem and you have norton antivirus,should try deleting it and then try system restore. it worked for me i couldnt restore to any date.when i deleted norton i could restore to the exact date i wanted.[please spread this info.]

why disable system restore if you have a virus you have only 2 ways and with system restoore you have 3 ways

Everyone, if you having trouble opening system restore, This way will probably work..

1.Boot your computer, keep repeatedly pressing f8 for at most 20 seconds, this thing will ask you if you would like to go to safe mode. 2. Once your on safemode(might take awhile)a window will pop up. 3.Click No to open up system restore. Good luck and send me a message to tell me how it goes

I think microsoft came out with a patch for that. I'm having a problem similar to yours, mine just won't do anything after I hit Next. i'll try and find the patch and then I'm give you the link if its safe use.

well i have the same problem but it started with winPc anti virus i got rid of that then perfect defender 2009 came in i got rid of that too but and now i accidently got rid of my restore checkpoints and also my computers internet explorer wont open up

i got the VirusRemover2008 virus and removed it but it screwed up my internet explorer. now when i google search websites, they all have popups and it does that dont send error report crap and closes out all the windows. and when i try to close out one window, it closes all of them against my will. unfortunately system restore decided to stop working for some reason and now i have no options left but to hopefully find an expert on this so far prolly never-before-seen problem.
