@aboy79 really this singer has been too bad in many other songs, he is actually not a singer by profession, sings just for fun. This recording was not done in a professional studio not even using a professional microphone, it was sung with a simple mic and mixed in a computer so it oughts to be the way it is.

Thanks and the reason for that is that both these songs are composed purely in raag Darbari and beat is also Keherewa hence you will find it sounding quite similar.

I totally agree with u.....the "mukhda" tune is a direct lift from Mughal-e-Azam and the "antra" tune is a direct lift from Khandaan (Tu hi meri mandir tu hi meri pooja) . Music director Pritam is well known for plagiarizing tunes of others.

Well Anu Malik did it tastefully....besides his dad was a great music director "Sardar Malik" so Anu has good knowledge of music. Pritam on the other just lifts tunes as is. Another good example of plagiarizing would be the song "Ya Ali" from the movie Gangster. Its an Arabic song and lifted the whole tune of the song verse by verse. I personally miss great stalwars of Bollywood like Naushad, L-P, K-A, RD Burman etc.

By the Kashif u done a good job....try and "throw" ur voice a lil more tho.
