Sultanas are also known as "Golden Raisins" over here. I got really confused looking for Sultanas here. Just look for "Golden Raisins" and you've got the same thing.
Hi Dear Jimbo! Great recipe and I love how you presented it. The overhead shot was great! The dessert looks delicious. Big thumbs up! Have a great weekend my dear friend... hugs.
Your Bread and Butter pudding looks wonderful! It reminds me of what we call bread pudding in Kentucky; of course, we add a generous amount of Maker's Mark to the custard! Nice video, Jimbo!
@bettyskitchen Hi Betty, thanks for the kind words I am glad you enjoyed it! I normally do not like bread pudding as you find around Olympia as it is over taxed with spice, this was very nice in contrast as the flavors were able to stand out, not swimming in cinnamon and nutmeg. The custard was nice and firm with its own flavor! I hope I will be able to find your Makers Mark bread pudding, if not maybe you will make it for the new year? sounds Delicious!
@TheVittleVlog Thanks friend, it was when I was stacking the little triangles that I developed the opinion it was a lot of work... I don't make those little paper folded thingy for that reason too... But it was worth the effort being able to control the flavors the way we like it made this the best bread pudding type dish we have ever had!
@SmokeyGoodness Thanks my friend, glad you noticed... About half way through it I said something like OMG this is the most detailed video I have ever made! I think right after that I said something like English cooking is designed to get every utensil in the kitchen dirty! But cutting up those little piece of bread and stacking them was when I went, ok I am a lazy American and would probably never had made this on my own... lol, It was great better than anything similar to it you find in Re...
@HALLSYSKITCHEN Thanks my friend! glad you enjoyed it and noticed the extra effort I was putting into it, not sure what came over me, Lol! It was by and far better than any "bread pudding" I have had homemade or eating out. I think we liked it because I used a lot less cinnamon and nutmeg than most people would, so it was not over powering...
you say people call it bread and butter desert. I call the sweet corse after the main a desert but i call this a Bread and butter pudding

It is truly a delicious dessert; my video is probably pretty bad, because that was way, way back!
Have a nice day, Jimbo!
