I'm 82 years old (I used to play the violin when I was young), and I am proud of still being contemporaneous with you, Itzhak Perlman, Joshua Bell, Sarah Chang and other violinists. I consider this piece to be one of the best-written music ever.

this is very touching. it is a song of sadness and sorrow. loss and pain come from the holocaust. theres nothing more beautiful to me than listening to a song that I can relate to such as sadness and loss. when I hear this, I close my eyes and I can feel the pain coming through me, I think its beautiful. I have always had an intetest in the violin and classical music but only the minor,sad type. this is wonderful. she plays it so swell. though I know nothing about a violin, I wish to learn.

Very expressing....However I, personally still don't get attached to "schindler's feeling" by listening to this play. This piece of music is actually made to reflect Schindler's mind and feeling at the time of seeing he could only save limited amount of Jews and he wanted to get more but theres nothing else he could do. The only violinist that can reflect this is Itzhak Perlman :)

Ive always admired people that play an instrument, it looks so beautiful and of course sounds even better. Ive also always wished to play violin, but sadly I have zero talent. My parents made me play piano, but Ive never liked it and even when I studied playing it for 6 years Ive never sounded as good as people that have an actual talent. Years later I discovered a hidden talent for painting, I love it, and I think I am pretty good, but still...violin will always be my platonic love.

Absolutely beautiful. Im trying to play a right hand violin lefthanded at school at the moment until eventually ill buy a lefthanded one although its uncommon. I dance to the waltz version of this song in ballroom dance. Love this song, and will eventually learn it even though i cant play right now.

I am left handed but play guitar right handed. It has a major advantage - your stronger fingers are used on the fingerboard. Think the same would apply for violin

If you are new to the instrument, why not just start playing right handed, even if it is awkward and unnatural at first?

@Nykos94Z I suggest that you try to learn the violin right handed, since in an orchestra all violinsts are required to play like that, and it would be weird to see the bows fencing each other if violinists were to play different handed violins XD Besides with the violin both hands have to be trained to become stronger so it doesn't really matter whether you're left or right handed, since the left hand needs to be as good as the other. Hope that helps :)
