Actually, a lot of Kurds (not all, though) are descendants of the ancient Assyrians, too. They've just gone through a language shift to an Iranian language as a result of imperialistic policy and assimilation. Genetically speaking many Kurds and Assyrians, as well as other ethnic groups in northern Mesopotamia, are pretty much the same ethnic group.

And no, Germany, Finland, etcetera are not "pure Assyrians" and most Europeans don't give two shits about the existence of Assyrians

the theory about germans = assyrians exist, but its bullshit. its build on the theory that the ancient assyrians were indo-germans, which exist too, but we kno 100% today that assyrians are a part of the semitic people. dark hair, big nose etc. are examples of the assyrians in past and today.

I know you're going by the old testament, but what you need to know is that ASHUR, God & City existed 2 thousand +years before the birth of "Shem", making it Impossible for Assyrians to be "Semitic". Strabo (The Greek Historian during Alexander's time) made a clear distinction between Assyrians & Babylonians, saying that the Assyrians were of a Fair complexion with light eyes & hair while Babylonians were naturally more tanned.
