@Joenesia - My better set of rules (can't name them all) would include religious freedom for everyone instead of the 1st Commandment, allowing firefighters to work on the Sabbath in case someone's house catches fire on that day, include rules against child/animal abuse, rules for responsibility for your actions, respect for others rights, etc. Just to name a few.

That's why we are sinless in Christ, because Christ never sinned and therefore those who follow in Christ can be without sin. Baptism washes away the original sin of Adam and Eve and we are born again. So, since Christ was making all things new, we now worship on the Lord's Day (mentioned 3 time in th NT, I think). Jesus died Friday at 3pm, and rose on Sunday.

First off, Repent means to "turn from," not "never do it again." Now if you fall back into sin God will punish you; but the punishment will be on this side of life.Not the next! Second, No sin is greater than the other. All sin is equall. The first commandment is just as bad as 8 commandment. The 9th comandment is just as bad as the 7th Comandment, and so on. Plus, there were strict rules for owning a slave. You could only own a slave for 3 years after that, you had to set him or her free, regardless of anything. What the Bible is saying is that we need to respect the 10 Commandments and try our best not to break them. The more we sin the more punishment we get. The less we sin the less punishement we get. @Joenesia - My better set of rules (can't name them all) would include religious freedom for everyone instead of the 1st Commandment, allowing firefighters to work on the Sabbath in case someone's house catches fire on that day, include rules against child/animal abuse, rules for responsibility for your actions, respect for others rights, etc. Just to name a few.

That's why we are sinless in Christ, because Christ never sinned and therefore those who follow in Christ can be without sin. Baptism washes away the original sin of Adam and Eve and we are born again. So, since Christ was making all things new, we now worship on the Lord's Day (mentioned 3 time in th NT, I think). Jesus died Friday at 3pm, and rose on Sunday.
