i cant get it. after being beaten and beaten and beaten and beaten and some people beaten for years why do people not use their right of self-defence. no single fucking policeman has the right to beat u: so get ur fucking ass up and defend urselves. i would like to hit the fucking teeth of every single policeman and woman of these bastards. ACAB the time will come
dufvasven> Even as photographer you can risk of beeing arrested. Worked behind those vans, where me and other was about to be caught in, by their cars from the otherside...
ok ' one thing , when the police tells them to get back and they dont do it , they stop their work , if they just stay there and says no , and the police keeps saying to get the fuck back , they have to use their sticks, i do understand the police in the one , and all the other movies with demostrations where they just sit on the ground where the police tells them to get back , but 1 thing i not understand and hate more then anything is what the police do to our lovely christania,
1915 arrested... You know why? Because the police were allowed to arrest people without any reason (beacuse of a new Danish law). 99 percent of those people were never charged with any crime (because they hadn't breaken any law whatsoever).
Some friends of mine were for example arrested as they were sitting in a café and the police stormed the whole area (Christiania) with tear gas and dogs and arrested everybody on sight. My friends hadn't even participated in any demonstrations.
"Simon Sheikh, of the Australian social and political network "Get Up", said he had witnessed the detentions from his apartment in the centre of the city. The police rounded up protesters in a pre-planned manoeuvre," he told the BBC.
"It was unprovoked. They rounded up a group, including women and children, and pushed them into a store, before splitting them into groups and handcuffing them."
Sorry if I'm double posting, didn't seem to turn up:
Anyway from the same source:
"A police spokesman said just four or five out of 968 arrested would be charged and appear in court. "
963 people were never even attempted to be linked to any crime... And these innocent people were forced to sit on the cold ground for hours, and then put in steel cages where they were denied all their rights and needs.
Always the same story... when the police doesn't get it their way they don't think twice about using violence. I was there and it was quite scary to look into the eyes of human beings lacking any kind of empathy. People were panicing around me, screaming for them to stop pushing and beating us, some girl had an asthma attack... the police didn't care. Humanity has gone down the drain when you can't even do a non-violent protest in the "free" part of the world.
The police engaged the sections of the demonstration were violent leftwing activists had been protesting violently. This is still a democracy in the free part of the world just because violent protesters are arrested. We should all say to the protesters, that violence is never to be tolerated; and the day sympathizers and leftwings uses violence; thats the day they turn their back on true democracy.
I was there and did not see a single violent protester... you are making up your own stories out of the blue just to justify to yourself what you are seeing!
You might think I make things up; you do sound quite cynical. But fact is that police detained or arrested 1.915 persons, and they were all a threat to public safety and thank god they were engaged by auhtorities. The fact back me up, the danish ministry of justice and the police's arrestments back me up. Who back you up; desillusionized leftwing activists who use the word "democracy" as an apology for using violence?
Ha ha, my personal opinion and counter to your independent comment would be that a six degree increase in global temperatures presents rather a larger "threat to public safety" than some temporary NON-violent inconvenience to the week's business (-as-usual) diary.
And... hello, are you seriously expecting us to take the Danish police and ministry of justice to be objective sources of information on the events of COP15? Maybe you should go and ask the residents of Christiania what they thought.
what the hell are u talking about??? even the police did admit they did take the situation wrong... even the politics say that it was wrong!! and because of so many arrests without any official reason!! is why so many people started suing the danish goverment!!
People where taken there freedom rights and it was a big debat in denmark at the time!! so where is ur democracy there?

From BBC on the big Saturday demonstration:
"Simon Sheikh, of the Australian social and political network "Get Up", said he had witnessed the detentions from his apartment in the centre of the city. The police rounded up protesters in a pre-planned manoeuvre," he told the BBC.
"It was unprovoked. They rounded up a group, including women and children, and pushed them into a store, before splitting them into groups and handcuffing them."
