I used to sleep beside him, bathed him evryday but when i started working in the city i have to leave him home. unfortunately when i come back he's no longer there. people said that he is killed for food. i'm still hoping that he is just around but it's 7 months now..hopefully he is ok..

Our pets are incredibly precious. They help keep us more human than we'd be without them. Hopefully when you think back on your dog you remember all the good times you had. It's like that with my dog. We had to put her down in 2008.

I still think back on some of the things she did, some of the good times we had, and I still remember the sound of her bark. Hopefully you have some good memories too.

Yes, my friend, we miss our friends like Rusty Poo. He had a blessed age, 21 years old, that is very special! They are never gone, they say, and I believe that!

Miss some of my cats very much also, sometimes though I meet them in my dreams. They always give comfort! I hope you keep the good memories with Rusty Poo!

I know exactly how you feel about Rusty. I lost my black lab Barley last December to osteosarcoma, and I have been thinking about him every day. It's very difficult to get over. Often times, non-dog owners don't get it, but I REALLY miss him just like a person. Thanks for sharing.

Gosh....I hate knowing that my dog's day is coming to a time of leaving me. There was time when I was totally alone and she was there to keep my sanity. With some of the most wonderful times and years that these animals can give us. It's so sad that they have only a short time here on Earth. God Bless our wonderful animals.

@zymmyiscool I have a 9 year old cat I have had for litterally half my life. When it does dies some day I will be crushed :( but it's something everyone has to accept and wow your dog lived 21 years. That's impressive as most dogs don't even hit 8 due to things such as diseases and being hit by cars.

One night at a prayer meeting we prayed for a friends dog who had been almost killed being run over by a car.

As we prayed one of the brothers who see visions when we pray saw his dog on the lap of Jesus as He sat on His Throne...

His dog survived. Also, that week another dog who had run away two years earlier ended up coming home... Prayer really Words!

Sorry about your puppy. I love them too and lost mine on Christmas day when I was 18. It really hurts but we have to be happy for all the love they gave us and once their time is up their duty to you will never stop because they watch over you. Just remember Once loved for ever loved.
