It is a fantastic song. One of my favourites, what we remember from childhood we remember for ever- what a luck Laxmi Kant Pyare Lal had. First film and such a great success, it is amazing. I must give credits to this pair who proved to be the best in seventies. They are the only one in Bollywood who can proclaim 450 films. What a privilege to hear music like this. First duet by Lata Mangeshkar & Kamal Barot. Laxmi ji is no longer alive but his creations will remain alive.(4rth February 2011)

Another limitation of people like Rehman is that all of their songs sound similar. They are very limited in their stock. If you have heard one, you have heard them all. LP, Sachindev, OP Nayyar etc had their own unique recognisable style but no one can say any two of their songs sounded similar.

Neither Sati savitri or Harischandra Taramati was their first movie.LP's first movie was Chhaila Babu which never got released until 67 or 68.This movie for sure their first release.Acoording to one interview Laxmikant said the movie released before the records came out becasue of some strike at HMV.This song surely proved their orchestral power which was a also a major factor in most of their songs. Indeed very very talented composers.India's best.
