OMG! Love the f'n Greaseman! Met him once at a car show/fundraiser in Baltimore, MD. Walked up to him and said: "If it wasn't for you Grease, I never would have graduated from Annapolis!" He laughed and said "you're not the first guy to tell me that." Wish I could hear him on the radio right now.....maybe I can find him on my Iphone. :)
THE GREASEMAN was and always will be #1 in radio. Stern has nothing on this guy. We would stop working to listen to his bits...Never got fired because the boss was with us. THANKS GREASE for the good times.
Was Greaseman all the things he said he was.....a big and beefy weight lifter....a killer soldier in Nam, Quang-tri 1968....he pinned on a badge and became a law-man, then went on to become a groin-o-cologist. When I heard Grease in the early '90s in the San Fran bay area, he blew Howard Stern out of the water. I couldn't breath I laughed so hard at his cop routine. "Mirrored sunglasses, beefy arms leaning on your door sill." Or how about his announcing lessons. "Ahhhheeeee!!!"
@666laika, there's nothing to "understand." The dude really isn't that funny. The fact that he's a racist doesn't even enter into it, he's just not that funny. I've heard many, many better radio commedians in my time. The Greaseman is average to below average at best. It's just that a bunch of, typically white trash, morons clap their hands and laugh, while rolling around in their own fecal matter, every time this idiot tells a "joke," the radio version of those Blue Collar Comedy morons.
He's funny and talented...and gives great advice too!
Instead of being on your best behavior on the first date, Grease is right...be on your worst behavior. If the girl can take that, she's a keeper (until you get tired of her).
YES-Greaseman is still on the air-thank goodness- google: rock105i and listen live! - 1st time i heard him, i was in like in middle school in Los Angeles like in 1990 i think! its sooo good to listen to him- has not changed!
Doug Track (the Greaseman) is planet Earth's funniest human being of all time. Not only the king of radio, but I can't think of a funnier stand up comic, TV or film star. Certainly one of the all time greats. I have a book signed by him! Super nice guy too.
@NinjaGhostScorpion Right you are bud-bud budaaaaaay! I also have a bunch of his audio CDs! I wonder what it must be like, to strap on a gun, and pin on a badge, and become......a laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan! :)
The Greasman was and is a legend. He is better in a different way then Howard Stern. Stern makes you laugh, but in a different way. Grease is more imaginative and creative with his comedy. Is it true that he is back on the radio?
Has anyone posted or heard Greaseman's song called, "She's Got Dick On Her Mind All The Time". I can't seem to find it online and I am the one who produced it. I produced it in the early 90s. If I can find my original master on it, I will post it.
No sit he's back on the air? The world won't be the same and wasn't the same with out him. Use to listen in on DC 101 and ten WSP Philly.
My fav's was when I talked about his daddy,in W.Vir. and the time this girls called him from Q-town Pa. (when he was is Calf.)when she laughed she sound like a donkey she was needing advice from him on conceiving, he called her up the next day just ot talk to her again, He's the best of them. Oh and about his x-wife,what was her name?
Oppps, Shit , I was wanting to give this girl a call and pop on down to see if there was some way I could be of Assistance to her, being she was just down the road from me.
As a kid, The Greaseman was so big in Jacksonville on WAPE, everyone in town wondered what he looked like for years, he never showed his face. What great memories.
I remember working listening late nite in mid 90's. Busting up while he's talking about his stint in the village people (not true). Thanks for posting. I can't believe that's the guy. He's a chisled model. Not radio looking at all.
Doug Tract is still fighting on and just getting by now but he absolutely ruled DC radio for us when we were in High School and College in the mid to late 80's in DC. Hearing his voice brings us back to those days.

Grease,
I loved the Grease back in the day on DC101. Sgt. Fury, Hobble, Wobble, Gobble,...and I agree funnier than Stern could ever hope to be.
