@HardcoreGodz Yes in a way. Its generally what a younger girl calls an older boy. A sister to a brother can use Oppa, so can close friends, and so can couples (sometimes regardless of age, where it has a similar meaning to honey).

@HardcoreGodz Oppa is basically what a girl/woman will call an older man (usually one that's still within an age where he could be her older brother) and literally means older brother (guys use "hyung"). So in a lot of couples if the girl is younger, she will call her boyfriend "oppa". And let's face it, it'd be majorly weird for a girl to call her boyfriend "older brother" lol so words like "honey" are used as equivalent instead.

Honey would really be "yeobo" in korean, if i'm not mistaken.

Lots of Asian cultures uses family names (uncle/aunt, grandfather/grandmother, older sister/older brother) to also address people who are not related to you. (Although the honorifics for "mr" and "mrs" will usually be used first if you're being polite and/or formal.)

Example: In Vietnamese someone (girl or boy) can use "anh" to address someone as an older brother as well as to address an older male partner.
