  • Saw these in leeds a long time ago i still listen, brilliant to listen again.... play the game or give up

  • The London AStoria Gig was fantastic! My French Girlfriend was over & WE went to see them - She fell in love with the music instantly

  • great band, great frontman!!!

  • I remember now, saw them at the Royal Standard pub in Walthamstow 1987.

  • Dunnery is a guitar god. I remember seeing this band at the Royal Standard pub in Walthamstow and I was totally blown away, fucking awesome. I think Dunnery was just using a Fender Squier and his guitar tone was fucking amazing. They were way ahead of their time, such a pity they split up.

  • I saw Dunnery performing at a house concert on Long Island, NY this past weekend. Front row. Interesting.

  • fuck...these guys were awesome

  • It was Francis' honesty which broke the band up. Beck seemed to be the poser.

  • @szevetch Frank succomed to too much alcohol that his family had done. Jon Beck was always jealous of Franks status in the band and there was a kind of edge in the band. Frank and Rich and Bob grew up in Egremont. Jon came in as he was from Whitehaven. If the truth be known Jon Beck was the brillaint backing to Frank's genious. Such a shame I wish these guys could work together again. Jon Mitchell is a fantastic guitar player but he is not Frank

  • It was Francis' honesty whcih broke the band up. Beck seemed to be the poser.

  • Cobain without drugs could be like this guy. ))))))

  • The Best Band I Have Ever Heard... Best Band I Have Ever Seen Live, no other band will top these guys Ever !!! !!!!....

  • Yeah 4th album was being recorded in America and there was a bust up between Beck on keyboards and Dunnery whose head wouldnt fit on the album cover it was said at the time lol great shame as 3rd album was so gd, who knows what 4th would of been like......

  • My friend apparently had these guys play in his living room for some three grand.

  • @tribbleq

    ??and??

  • @swagelok1954 (That's not a lot of money.)

  • Jazza, I too was at the Astoria! a quite brilliant show!! couldn't resist the recent 'once more around the world' shows, but - as nostalgic as it was - is just wasn't the same without Francis. I'm going to have to put the ipod on now v loud ;o)

  • Unbelievable musicianship. Incredible. God I wish I'd seen them 'live'!!!!

  • Kiss Like Judas は最高の作品だ!!!

    前奏のフランシスのギターとジョンのキーボーどの重なりが大好き♪♪♪

  • Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Oh god, I fucking LOVED this band.

London Astoria, on the Once Around The World tour... the best gig I have ever been to.

  • lol @ his face at the end of the vid ^^

  • They are on tour as I write azzy I hear. Chemistry like that is impossible to stop

  • thank you!

  • Brilllllllllll. Why oh why did they disband

  • They couldn't get any traction in the markets. Their label tried to market them into various niches which never stuck. Besides that, I believe that Rolling Stones released a two-word review of EMISL: "It does."

  • Francis Dunnery's ego destroyed the band, apparently
