Plus most of the World seem to wanted to support Iraq over Iran. It was because of oil if anything else. However, North Korea, Israel, and I think Syria supported Iran. I know by war's end. The Iranian had a higher casualties than Iraq. Then again, there were some Iraqi who seem combat in 1967 and 1973, both times again Israeal.
@4head11 yh the begining until the first 6 months. the war kicked off a year after the revolution and the iranian army was messed up, so it took us 6 months to gather up the army again and within 2 years we took back our land and we were actually going towards the iraqi lands. everything was going great until the government decided to use a new military called the IRGC Revolutionary guard who had no experiance of war insted of the regular army with5000 years of experience!
i'm just thinking that if iraq and iran combined thier military wouldn't they be a super power and could wipe out many countries?? but sadly the war was crap... no winner.

@ahriman46 No, I had no idea about that. It had to be late in the war because in the beginning the Iraqis had the edge over the Iranians. Plus most of the World seem to wanted to support Iraq over Iran. It was because of oil if anything else. However, North Korea, Israel, and I think Syria supported Iran. I know by war's end. The Iranian had a higher casualties than Iraq. Then again, there were some Iraqi who seem combat in 1967 and 1973, both times again Israeal.

@4head11 yh the begining until the first 6 months. the war kicked off a year after the revolution and the iranian army was messed up, so it took us 6 months to gather up the army again and within 2 years we took back our land and we were actually going towards the iraqi lands. everything was going great until the government decided to use a new military called the IRGC Revolutionary guard who had no experiance of war insted of the regular army with5000 years of experience!
