From around 3:50 he interprets a classical piece of music but I don't know the name or composer. Who can help me? I'd like to listen to the original tho this version is awesome as well.

I'm afraid that Torchlight II will kick Diablo 3's butt three times over. In no small part thanks to this genius of a man, Matt Uelmen. Pity that so much development effort will go to waste.

Kind of reminds me of Risen and how it carries with it the true Gothic experience, JoWood be damned.

No matter how much they distance them self from Diablo (ex Blizzard North i mean) they'll always make games with similar atmosphere. I mean the first time i ran Torchlight, heard town music and saw dungeons only one thing crossed my mind - Diablo 1 and 2. Now for those who gonna like Diablo 3 im not saying its a bad game im just saying THAT isn't Diablo anymore.

This song is very reminiscent of diablo 2 and wow Nelf music (Teldrassil in particular), yeah I know Matt Uelman wrote the music for Diablo 2 but not for vanilla wow (only BC). So I guess he must of either been a big fan or the makers of TL asked him to do wow style music, which makes sense as TL's art style is wow all the way.

you can find the music in the game files but they are in .ogg (audacity is a free software that can read .ogg and convert them to .mp3 or .wav)

sounds like this piece was made using ideas scrapped from diablo 2.

i think torchlight is going to end up being more faithful to diablo than diablo 3.

scrapped ideas isn't necessarily an insult in music; ideas get scrapped all the time for trivial reasons, especially when you have a producer or director hovering over your head.

no matter how good an idea is, if it doesn't fit with the rest of the game, it has to get scrapped. in fact it's probably a good sign when a composer has the guts to throw out good ideas for the sake of being consistent with the bigger picture.

Wow, Matt Uelmen. Awesome, loved his Tristram theme since the 90's and it's great to see a game with him doing the soundtrack. Torchlight looks pretty neat, I'll have to give it a go some day.

My only question is, while I'm here, is the game ... long? I'm by no means an expert so it'd take me a few hours extra to finish, but in general, how long is it?

The Diablo 3 music is still good, based on what's heard on the website and etc, but Matt Uelmen just has that style which has been Diablo from the start.
