heat!!!madlib laced this 4sho it was his tribute to j dilla check out lenny white & tweentynine don blackman was in that group they did morning sunrise (weldon irvine) nice remake
First of all props to Teena.Been tubing you since 07.Where can I get a copy of that 3 days of the condor soundtrack?Second, someone on here missed the point of my post.I equally gave props to Don Blackman first,Madlib second.Learn to read! That is all.
It doesn't matter who sampled this. This beautiful music all around.Give props to the originators of this and the guys who dig in the crate to put this back out there before it's forgotten. So much hate out there!Spread the love. And make a damn purchase!
This is my favourite song from his album. And now even more poignant as it makes me think of my man who is "away" and what it will be like when he finally comes home to me.....
Such a great song. Don's style of playing is so unique! I play this LP all the time and it could be one of my fave records. I will say I was introduced to this album from hearing 'Too Complex' but the novelty of the loops and samples wears off very quickly. Younger hip hop fans need to pay homage to the artists who made this music and stop naming producers who sampled it in the comments. You aren't getting any props for knowing that madlib used this. Don Blackman wrote this song not madlib.
i rock in the darkest corners in my room, whenever i sing songs like this....thank god, we got good music now...taylor swift all the way, i don't know about this bullshit. get some nickleback in your gaddamn life....amateurs.
Its crazy how people bring up who SAMPLED good music, instead of Thanking THE PERSON who actually made it. it breaks my heart, but when old school dies . & this new generation forgets the REAL era. I WILL be slapping 70-90's music till i die.. Believe it

I can't believe hip hop has evolved to this point that we're talking about a joint more than the actual song! CrazY!

I'M MAD AT YOU GUYS FOR APPRECIATING HIP-HOP SAMPLING. MAKE A COMMENT ABOUT DON BLACKMAN GOD DAMMIT. I'M OLD AND I HATE MY LIFE.

@svendiamond I feel you but what Madlib did to this track was paying homage and a beautiful "remix" if you will. Respect to Blackman.
