They have to take them back to base or a medic, depends on where you play, something you walk back yourself but here Im guessing they are trying to make it more realistic; meaning that if you were shot in real life you couldnt walk to a medic or base by yourself, you would need the help of a live play to "drag" or walk you to a revival point.

whats with the taking the shot guys back? does a "not shot' guy have to walk him back then both come back alive?

The guy who gets shot, is down in the field for 5 minutes. If not healed by a medic, he bleeds out and has to go back to the respawn area. If a player is not shot, he can "drag" that person who is shot to the location of where a medic is located. It good to keep the medic away from the main action.

This is how the whole situation is handled.
