That's pretty interesting the way you set it up. Normally you'd plug the splitters in the capture card instead of the TV, but the way you do it is pretty creative.

Couldn't I just hook up my 360 or PS3 directly into the Dazzle, then the Dazzle into the computer without hooking anything up to my TV? I understand that a lot of people like being able to watch their TV while recording, but couldn't I just watch the preview screen on my monitor? Also, if I do this, is there any lag from it?

You could do that. But the recording screen is so small, like 1 inch big. Give a few centimeters. There MAY be lag on the film. Sometimes for me, there is, others, there isnt.

Yep. You can still use the astros. Just plug in the Red/white cords into the splitters.

Dazzle does not support HD component cables. It only has Red/Yellow/White connectors. If you want to record in HD you'll have to get an HD cap card. Hippauge's are nice.

alright guys, this is just if you don't want to go through all that trouble with all the cables. If you have an hd TV, all you have to do is plug all the (xbox 360) hd component cables into your hd tv and all of your (xbox 360) standard component cables into the dazzle video maker. Once that is done all you have to do is flip the switch on the back of your xbox 360 cable to the regular settling (not HD) and it will still play through your HDTV. ^_^
