  • This is the most real, most moving song I have ever heard at Christmas.

Thank you for putting it up.

  • My dad and Andrew were best friends in high school! We visit him and his family all the time! It's great to see he's so successful!

  • Joseph hid her away....

  • Joseph hid her away....

  • I loved this song. What a great job.

  • this is a beautiful song, but i'm not sure how accurate it is. back then, stables were usually in the house and at night the animals would be brought in to sleep. this is probably where mary and joseph stayed. also, this culture prided itself in its hospitality and mary was probably surrounded my midwives who knew what they were doing. even if you think about it, the town was filled with people and realistically, there would've been midwives there.

  • Mary was willing to give up her reputation for the God of the universe how she must have loved her lord it was such a privilege yet in human eyes a great shame how shall we be asked to show our love for our our lord?

  • Best part of this song... so true and sends chills down my spine: "But the baby in the womb, He was the maker of the moon. He was the author of the faith that could make the moutains move."

  • Wow...we have so commercialized Christmas and made it seem all so pretty and peaceful on that night...I think this is the only song I have ever heard that even comes close to giving a more accurate account of what took place that night...

  • oh my goodness :) i heard this song this Sunday at church. such a sweet and cute song. I can't imagine how i would feel if i were in Mary's situation. This song gives me goosebumps like crazy. I'm getting a totally new message out of the Christmas story now that i'm older.....i've been working on my faith a lot lately, and i'm understanding so much more. I just love how God chooses some of the least likely of people, and how the ppl just go along with it with joy and no question

  • This is not the story of a child who came as God, but the story of God Himself who came as a child. And in all He did, His purpose was to teach before He died of the way of salvation, made possible only by His willing sacrifice for the behalf of sinful men, who could obtain salvation from no other source.

Jesus paid it all. And we are left gaping to believe or to think of the gospel as a nice, happy story, for those who believe.

The truth is, is if you don't believe, you will not be saved.

  • God incarnate! Oh, unfathomable mystery: "Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men." (Philippians 2:5b-7)

    Amen Halleluja

  • This song has spoken so many things to me. I am a visual learner, so it more accurately portrays likely details of this incredible story in a way that is easy to visualize. Thank you.

  • Mary was so strong!!! God gave her such a blessing :)

  • Thank you for posting this incredible song and accompanying video footage! I don't know if many of us, even if we are Christians, know how difficult it was for Mary and Joseph to completely understand their "role" in what would become, witnessing the birth of an infant who would ultimately give His life for each and every one of us... Incredible song giving us another insight into the birth of Christ. "every beat of her beautiful heart" is so very true...

  • powerful video and a beautiful song.

  • this video made me cry im so happy i have a great cxhristian family and im glad im a christian i love jesus he's in my heart forever

  • WOW!!!! what of a song!!!!

  • i feel nothing, and i'm a christian...what does that mean??

  • Comment removed

  • don't worry. It just means that at the moment this song doesn't touch your life. All you need to know is that Jesus loves you, its not up to you to cry or be moved emotionality every time you see a video like this. And if you wonder if your actually a Christian or not that proves you are :)

  • .....right.....

  • Come hear it live!

Andrew Peterson, Jill Phillips (both singing here) Brandon Heath, and more!

The behold the Lamb of God tour is coming to Topeka, KS on 12/5/09!

  • i wish i could have been there.

  • I wish that I could have not only been there, but knew then what I know now, so that Mary wouldn't have to feel so alone. I mean, I am a teenager, and to think of being pregnant, and having everyone turn against you...She was a brave young woman. And Joseph, he was a good man.

  • @krisseskisses

Don't mix or modern culture to that time long ago.

It was normal for a girl to be 16 and married to an elderly man at that time.

  • @TheOink Excuse me? I'm not mixing our cultures. I said nothing about being married to an older man. I am talking about Mary knowing that she is pregnant with the son of God and being hated on for being pregnant out of wedlock (though Mary and Joseph were considered husband and wife, there were at the "betrothed" stage of marriage and were not permitted physical intimacy yet) I'm talking about how awesome it would be to see baby Jesus, to spend time with Mary and Joseph. Is that clearer?

  • @krisseskisses

Yes it is clearer, but I think it lacks intelligence.

Because you would have been married to some slob or maybe a decent man by this age.

Everyone turned against her because obviously in their eyes she had cheated. Joseph himself at one point said I am not raising my own child. But was convinced by his foolishness and let God persuade him.

  • I completely agree

  • Awesome work to God all the Glory

  • password, look at what you have created! i know what you are looking for and it is IN Jesus Christ Our Lord and Saviour, ALONE!

Look at the things you are sickened by! Believe in Jesus Christ and mount on His wings and SEE-MAN! You want understnading? you want truth in WISDOM! Believe in Jesus and the these things, these things- you're sickened by will be made known too you-

look at the things they say & post about our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ-

i continue to pray for you-password!

  • Good reminder of Mary and Joseph's pain and worry--and that in the midst of our confusing reality God can be honored. Many thanks...

  • Absolutely love that song and the video went with it perfectly! Thanks for sharing!

  • keisha castle-hughes is my fave actress and she is great in this!

  • Such a moving and touching song.My favorite Christmas song this year. The music, lyrics and video all compliment each other. Thank you for posting and sharing wildfw5 5 stars! Lisa

  • if you dont get a true blessing out of this song, then something is wrong...

  • I disagree. It's different for everyone. I'm a christian, and this doesn't affect me that much.

  • I think it depends on who sings the song. This version did not make me cry. But last year at my schools annual Christmas my friend Adry sang this as a solo and every time she sang it the room was brought to tears!! Even in the practices!! She only had the piano to accompany her no guitars or anything else. I still do love this song though

  • How beautiful! Just absolutely beautiful! I love "The Nativity Story"!

I thank the Lord, our God for blessing us with the greatest Gift ever given. I admire the Blessed Virgin Mary for the hardships that she had to go through carrying the Son of God. And Joseph, for being at her side instead of divorcing her like he was going to do.

May God Bless us all! :)

  • That's a beautiful song, so nicely performed here... and very touching and heartwarming along with the video, I enjoyed it...FrAnK
