My mother had framed prints of these paintings hanging in her house several years ago. I'd forgotten about them for a long time, until I saw a flash of one of the paintings on Public TV. Since then I had searched the internet until I found them. I love these paintings and one day hope to have copies of them on my walls, they are so fascinating and beautiful. I love the time period.

Zara, this is FABULOUS! What fantastic paintings. I've read that these amazing colours, especially the ultramarines, are almost impossible to reproduce even today. In fact I went up to my husband's computer (he has a better screen) to watch this lovely video better. The Saltarello la Regina is lovely too - you can't beat Vox Vulgaris for this type of music. Thank you so much!
