the throttle wouldnt be retracting cuz there is way too much friction of the little spring in the carby to pull it back...u need a shorter cable

@8tyman8 will go faster if you make the spindle larger. a deepwell socket 3/4" should work. much more top end that way

1/4 is way to small for the spindle it needs something bigger maybe 3/4 or 1inch.
