I can't hold back my tears a second when I watch Babar... call me pathethic, but I just can't. It brings back so many memories. My dad and I used to watch this all day when I was a child, now he's gone and my childhood too. But it's great to watch it again :)
I do have a couple of fan made stories in my head and I wish to submit them to Nelvana to make them continue a new season of babar, for a new generation of adventures for children and grown up fans. I still have that dream in my head:)
It's probably best to just publish them as fanfic, as production companies aren't allowed to take unsolicited writing submissions. They aren't allowed to even look at them, for legal reasons. :(
Besides, in a way, fanfic is even better, since you can write whatever you want, and there is no interference from anyone. ;)
There was supposed to be a new Babar show released this year, but the production died (from what I understand, the networks couldn't agree on the focus of the show). :(
