  • wow, thats a lot of lag...

  • this is awesome, can't wait til i get my g37

  • How do you put a camera at your head?

  • stop making these videos this a a dis service to the car and you can shift even with an automatic shifter

  • nice car

    l love it

  • ....this is not a video game.. it doesnt take all that. you shift like 6 times under 40 mph

  • how did you mount the camera??

  • lol i love how everybody is saying reving your car high is bad, as long as it has half way decent oil in it, hold it at redline for hours, and it will last.... ASK ANY LOCAL TECHNICIAN and see what they say.

  • they shouldn't even release any sports car with an auto, ruins the car basically.

  • R u trying to kill your car

  • GAY car

  • soo..ya um.........i like this car.

  • is there a clutch pedal needed

  • @vDroiiDz No, Cos its hooked up to an automatic transmission, It works alot easier, Hence there being only a torque converter.

  • yep...i can drive standard just fine. im just trying to show the transmissions responsiveness here in a variety of situations. check this out to see my shoddy shifting skills :)

  • He is obviously just playing around with the gears to show you how it works, he is not trying to go WOT through all the gears, you people are stupid. Go back to playing need for speed and leaving the real world driving to people who know what they are doing, kktksbye.

  • you're trying to accelerate and you're downshifting ..... lol

  • @props28 umm... for most of the times, you actually need to downshift to accelerate. Downshift to get the rev up, so that you can get more power out of the engine. Otherwise, staying in 7th gear, full throttle will only hurt your clutch. You can even learn this from need for speed~

  • i can tell that you are just playing with the paddle shifters coz you dont know what you're doing

  • wtf , u own a g37 but u cant get a decent camera ,,,,,, awful reception

  • @props28 Because all of his money is going on car payments and insurance. lol

  • its either this dude does not know how to drive manual transmission or he just being stupid and tries to destroy the engine ,,,,,,,,,, paddle shifters also work like stick manual , obviously he is shifting it wrong

  • why you downshift when your not suppose , you revving the engine too much

  • @props28 engines are designed to rev, its all they do, it doesnt hurt them.

  • @SR7800t what i meant was you're not shifting the gear the right way , everyone that knows how to drive a stick shift will notice that you're NOT shifting it right

  • @SR7800t that is the dumbest thing ive heard about an engine before. ha congrats.

  • @props28 if your engine has decent oil in it, you can hold it at redline for hours and not blow your engine, especially a new one. Ask any local tech.

  • @crzygutrsnobrdr You're either an idiot or a little kid.... or both.

  • @pac850 lol, your an idiot...im friends with a lot of tech's, 2 own their own shops, and 1 is the master tech at a big BMW dealership....they have all said the same thing, its set at a safe point, how often do you hear of people floating valves or siezing their engines? you can drive a car 3000 miles in 2 days without worrying about it over heating...why is it sitting at redline a problem? Go ask tech the next time your car goes in

  • @crzygutrsnobrdr The way you worded it was dumb. If you hold it at redline for even a minute you'll blow it.

  • @pac850 HAHA your an idiot!

  • @pac850 Wow guy/girl, I hope your just joking because engines are setup to handle revs at redline all day, of course your engine will probably wear down faster but not just blow up. Unless someone done some bad tuning on the car and has the cutoff too high it will handle redline as much as you want it too!

  • @props28 you dont know what your talking about

  • what's up with the delay? kind of annoying?

  • Not as fun as traditional manuals : (

    SAVE THE MANUALS!!!!!

  • OMG sorry but i have never seen someone shift so bad in my life. You shift too early

  • will it still automatically shift, or do you have to use the paddles?

  • @MoarLolz there are two different mode were u can use paddle shifters are not i believe.

  • if you want to modify your car, get a stick shift, a tip tronic may be able to shift faster, but its still an automatic, a manual can pretty much take whatever torque you throw at it, but auto/paddle can only take the specified amount without blowing up the torque converter

  • Paddle shifts allow you to shift much quicker than the stick shift cars with clutch, and that's just improvement of technology.

  • lol get mad why dont ya hahaha

  • My brother has the same car with the paddle shifters. It shifts a lot quicker than this video depicts. I think there's some lag from the video to the sound. Not much, but if you listen to one part where the driver down shifts on the left paddle, and you can hear the click from the paddle, but see there's a slight delay. It seems like the sound is delayed just a bit in this video.

  • no it shift quite faster than manual

btw is the 3series better for padd;e

  • @RnBMusicWorld You KIDDING me? Have you ever driven a manual car? i can shift through three gears on track in a much quicker blitz than this guy can 'shifting' one gear up or one gear down in a straight line.... i saw another video with a 350z. an aftermarket steering wheel + paddle shift setup... i was curious to see if all of them were this slow... and i was brought here.... this is too damn slow for any good use... this is useless for any spirited or track use. Some newer cars are quicker but

  • it shifts so slow

  • lol this is for people who don't know how to drive a true stick shift only automatic

  • @me2me23 tell that to f1 drivers

  • @will122391 Am just saying this is for certain people who can not drive a true stick shift. If you can drive a stick shift you can drive any car including this peddle shift. You read my comment but I'm wondering if you comprehend what I just commented,...mmm(?) so your saying SOME of the F1 Drivers don't know how to drive a stick shift? LOL why am I not surprise?

  • I might be getting one of these soon, test drove one today and I loved it.

  • i love me some shift lagggg.

  • The shifts are slow

  • Paddle shifting is totally OK as long as:

    a) It's not an automatic transmission being shifted like a manual

    and by the same token:

    b) It doesn't take 8 seconds for the car to shift after tapping the paddle.

In general, a tends to lead to b.

  • so holding a stick in your hand make's you feel like a man, right?

  • wouldnt this make shifting difficult on really curve-like roads?

  • @netram888 yes.

  • okay question which is faster a 6mt or this in ds mode?

  • I can drive a stick, but my car is this car with paddle shifters, is that mean im gay? lol dumbasses..

  • Just bought a g37 sport nav tech, I have been a standard driver all my life, my first G was stick, after test driving both the automatic and the standard of both the g37 and the 370z I can honestly say I had more fun driving with the paddle shifters than I did with the stick. I switched to automatic with my 2nd G but it didn't have the paddle shifters and I found the car boring so I am looking forward to my new G. You get more options and will not kill yourself in traffic.

  • u guys are dumb

this happens to all brand new cars

i own a r35, and when it was new the paddle shifters responded slower than this

but once the car broke in, it was amazing fast

  • @Eternalized619 u got a r35? videos plssss

  • WTF..slower than my GTS' shifters...wow i'm proud of my car now xD

  • the response on the shift from the paddle is fucking god awefull.. useless paddleshift.. f1 cars only get a stick

  • What?

The shifters are not atached in the wheel like a F1?

I want to buy a realistic wheel to play the simulator Gran Turismo 5, the G27 has passle shifters and you cn easily shift during corners because you don't need to remove your hand from the wheel, the shifters turns with the wheel.

  • Thinking about getting one of these. What kind of exhaust do you have on it, because it doesn't sound stock?

  • How does moving a stick and pressing a pedal make you manly in the first place? Get ready for the future, the dsg double clutch predictive automatic tranny is going to help phase out the manual transmission, since it can shift 30ms faster than anybody could in a manual.

  • It doesn't exactly. I was just making a point. People can't drive for shit anymore. Manual transmissions put you more in tune with your car. Your can feel what it's doing better and you have more control over it. The future is for a generation of lazy pussies who can't drive for shit. Kids these days want cars that do everything for them it seems. I like everything manual. Less to break. No computers or electronics to make things work, just me in control. Electronics fail, I don't.

  • i prefer a manual too.. i wouldn't say these types of transmissions are 'gay' though. Many offer superior performance and mileage to a normal manual. Also, the take rate on manual transmission cars is so low, you'll start seeing less and less vehicles offering them

  • I know, it's sad. Less and less people know how to drive. Maybe I'm just old school, but it seems to me that there are too many features on cars these days. They make people lazy. I can't stand when people tell me they can't drive stick. Worse than an automatic trans, is cruise control that applies the brakes for you if you aren't paying attention and almost rear end someone. Stuff like that encourages people to do even less at the wheel.

  • @SR7800t I have a manual G37s.. Love it.. don't know what I will do if they take away manuals from performance cars..

  • @SR7800t I have a manual G37s.. Love it.. don't know what I will do if they take away manuals from performance cars..

  • @SR7800t True, I mean how many young kids do you know that can drive a stick...

  • friend of mine says..they should replace airbags with pop-out steel spikes, and then see how people drive!

  • @SR7800t rofl haha....

  • @SR7800t hahahaha that's genius, I would take the bus everyday! hahaha

  • @MeAndJesusHadA3Some

    Are you fucking retarded?

F1 cars, the FASTEST racing cars in the world use paddle shifters.

Seriously... have you not thought about this?

  • @walkingindec45 They aren't the fastest but one of the best ones.

  • @MeAndJesusHadA3Some Just because you can afford it doesn't mean you can bash it.

  • @needleonthevinyl How would you know what I can and can't afford. I actually work at an Infiniti dealership and make pretty good money doing so. But itt doesn't mean I have to like the product just because my company sells it. I prefer cars that perform. I have a Jeep that I can take literally anywhere and it'll run for 300k before it needs a new motor, and I'm building a '69 Chevy Nova. Total race car build. No interior, 425HP motor, and of coarse, a manual trans. I hate fancy shit. It's gay.

  • @MeAndJesusHadA3Some again ur opinion love how anything out of ur opinion is "gay"

  • @xxnissansilviaxx Yes, everything that I don't like is, for lack of a better word, "gay". It's the best word for describing frilly, fancy, unnecessary bullshit.

  • @MeAndJesusHadA3Some funny how thats ur opinion and gues wat people still buy these things and they are still fast and still fun to drive i drove one just like this its cool and less annoying shit that u wud have with a manual

  • @xxnissansilviaxx What's annoying about a manual trans? Besides of course the fact that you can't drive one?

  • @MeAndJesusHadA3Some . So holding stick make you feel like a man.right ?

  • @banpowarrior Holding my stick makes me feel like a man. And I'll hold my stick whenever I feel like it. Guess you wouldn't know the feeling. (i)

  • @MeAndJesusHadA3Some Maybe everybody doesn't want a work out when driving their cars in traffic. You may shift 10's to hundreds of times going from place to place, I think it gets annoying after a while.

  • @Anoon Maybe so. But mostly because everyone is fat and lazy. This country is full of lazy people who want everything to be done for them. As stated above, I work at Infiniti. You would not believe the nonsense these cars have. I mean, back up cams so your fat, lazy ass doesn't have to turn and look, intelligent cruise control so you can fuck around while speeding and the car will slow down on its own if you're about to hit something, and lane departure warning, so you can text and not crash.

  • @Anoon The only thing missing is autopilot, and when it's available, Infiniti will be among the first to have it. Some of the shit is kind of cool to a point. It is impressive technology. But it's all just crap we don't need. It makes for a lazy driver who doesn't pay attention and isn't in tune with their car because they rely on their car to do all but steer, accelerate, and brake sometimes. If you're driving stick in a bare bones kind of car, you're at one with the car.

  • @MeAndJesusHadA3Some paddle shifters are pretty awesome, not these of coarse, because u shift and 3 seconds later the computer decides to let the trans shift, but im talking bout Ferrari. and indy cars.

  • @MeAndJesusHadA3Some idk about the manly part, race car drivers use this tech in their cars (i.e Indy cars, formula 1 etc.) its just used to give some better gas mileage. Its no fun being in traffic downtown shifting every fucking second with a normal manual.

  • @MeAndJesusHadA3Some u realize all formula cars are paddle shifters....and those are the manliest of all cars

  • @CrazyForCooCooPuffs you also realize that formula cars have serious amounts of power also?

  • @us3rname101 so?

  • @MeAndJesusHadA3Some I hate how until a couple of year back probably 1% of cars in US were manuals...and now all of a sudden, driving an automatic is gay? Now, when cars with manual gearboxes are so easy to drive even a 5 year old could do it? Why havent you bitched about automatics 20-30 years ago, when manuals were pain in the ass? When 99% of cars in europe were manuals, and 99% in US were automatics. Today, whether you drive manual or automatic doesnt matter...both are very easy to drive.

  • @MeAndJesusHadA3Some so driving a stick makes u a better man and a better driver? Then you better tell that to all WRC drivers who uses paddle shifters.. Maybe they will be better drivers and a better man than you.

  • @MeAndJesusHadA3Some Hey dude its 2011 manual is a thing of the past, all the super cars are paddle shift for a reason.......because they are faster

  • @uZoOner Manual is a thing of the past? Maybe for fat, lazy, useless Americans like you who can't do shit for themselves. I can rip through gears in a manual just as fast or faster than most automatics. Plus you can feel your car better. Ever drive a car with manual brakes or steering? It's a whole different world. Try it.

  • @MeAndJesusHadA3Some yah but whats the point when you get stuff like dsg that is actually better then its manual counterpart..if you measure you manlyness by using a stick thats pretty pathetic

  • @MeAndJesusHadA3Some Convert it to stick? Right... because that would definitely be worth the cost.

  • just make automatic or manual for sakes.

  • How new was the car when you posted this video? If the car was brand new, you are bound to not get the best performance because the computer is still learning your shift patterns. I recently bought the 09 g37s 7 speed and I found it to be a lot better than the 6MT.

  • car was brand new, maybe 2000 kms or so on the ODO

  • @camel04 what makes u say its better than a 6mt?

  • @xxnissansilviaxx I like having the option of shifting through 7 gears. I know 7th is just an overdrive, its still another gear I have at my disposal. Furthermore, the clutch on the manual has high engage point so you have to travel a bit more with your foot and I found that to be highly annoying. I probably could have gotten used to it, but I didnt bother. The 7 speed is a hair faster in almost all speed tests for this car ( not much of a difference in times but still a difference).

  • @camel04 can u mod a car with that trans with out hurting it/ or do u hav to beef up the trans

  • horrible responsiveness on the upshift

  • There is a good fix for that delay. You use a grounding kit.

  • go on.....??

  • manual

  • What a pity! The gear changing time itself is very quick for a torque converter gearbox. The problem is the delay between the paddle impulse from the user and the begin of the gearchange: too much delay from the input of the user to the response of the gearbox.

7G-Tronic of Mercedes has the opposite problem: delay response time is excellent, but gearchange time is too long.

  • it improves over time. the response get alot quicker when the car breaks in finally

  • i heard that the paddle shiftter on this car is suppose to be better than the manual one, i guess not.

  • wow what a delay in switching. disappointing! I got manual and i love it

  • certainly not the worst 'EVER', but far from the best

  • The worst response time ever.

  • It's not very responsive is it? The lag is really annoying, atleast the transmission does blip downshifts :)

  • Coming from someone who probably drives a Camry LE...

  • lol u have no idea. Theres a reason why I said boring.Been there done that.... and its true paddle shift is boring.

  • i can drive stick but id KILL to have this car lol

  • dont follow 'free range' shifting??

  • on this car, its 7600 rpm

  • How much free range shifting does the G37 offer?

  • i thought redline was at 5,700rpm

  • I can drive a manual just fine. That's not my car. Thanks for your unnecessarily rude comments.

  • oh what so you see a video with someone using paddle shift and you assume he cant drive a stick? Your just jealous that he drives around in cars all day that you will never be able to afford. Maybe you should get all the facts before you make a douchebag comment like that again... you suck at life fag!

  • Watch the rest of his videos you tool, this guy can definitely drive a stick.

LOL at ignorant kids that have nothing better to do with their lives than make fun of people driving cars they will probably never even get to sit in.

  • the only pussy i see here is you, cuz ur cock is obviously not long enough for you to feel secure about yourself

  • you can shift with the knob as well

  • I like the knob shifting then paddle shifting. I think it is more responsive.

  • Can you also shift using the shift knob or only using the paddle shifters?
